A creation from the Colaboration of Venom this brute is used by Cobra as a guard in the forest on Cobra Isle. This juggernaut is controlled through cybernetic implants, can regenerate from near fatal wounds quite quickly, and has twice the normal strength of an ape his size. Occassionally troopers are victims of 'freindly maulings' (a slang term coined from freindly fire). Troopers began calling him Donkey Kong and the name stuck. Its a lot easier to remember than Subject 7-815AVp ![]() ![]() You see Soulgem I aggree with you. Cartoon like characters can totally be brought over it just takes a bit of imagination. Maybe not My Little Ponys though. ![]() More to come on Donkey Kong, Shadow Wolves, and others from the Colaboration of Venom soon. But I will post them in the Dio section as its kind of more along those lines. Oh ya, for modes I added some fresh paint to his face and added the jowels. |

Sure, where were ll youse guys when I suggested using that JLU Copperhead for an 'animated' Serpentor? I also thought he would make a neat Cobra mascot (ie-part of a Cobra program to appeal to young kids). |

Sorry I'm not seeing it. Its just too Cartoony for a real life venomization ape. What SG is doing with the Disney characters is kinda making them look more like what they'd look like in the Joe verse. This is more like incorporating the cartoon fig into the verse just cause of its size. ![]() |

Well, I don't either. But there is something to be said about visual consistency, this ape would be fine in a high color world, but when you put him next to ultra realistic figs, it makes a weird flow. I think I would repaint him to be darker and possibly a bit more realistic, then again, I've see cobra commander as a blink on this site, ![]() |

HA! That's great. Though if you wanted a realistic looking ape, maybe use one of the smaller Kong figures as a base. |

I have a another but its so barley moded that I was waiting on taking pictures of him. That one will look much better when I am done with the rest of the animals here. Then another gorilla but is his just to cool to mod. This being my only monkey besides the one in peices and Gorilla Man, well I like him just the way he is. You have to understand that he is apart of the Army that has the neon yellow Monstro Viper, realism left along time ago ![]() Not overtly a real serious custom too, just trying to have some fun. Maybe its not such a bad idea doing this in a more realistic format. I might revist it. I am getting that some might think I was trying to compare this with Soulgems recent stuff. Absolutely not, at least not this specific one from me. I just thought he would appreciate it is all. |
