Ok so I wanted a Cobra Medic of some sort, and was trying to figure out how to do one 25th style.

I also wanted a project where I could try a couple different things...but still not get to advanced.

so here it is. TunnelRats first custom.

Image
Used Vehicle driver A) I wanted a lighter colored cobra uniform B) I have more legion sets than anything...so if I messed him up it wouldn't kill me.

Image
Wanted a more traditional medic look. Not a big fan of "space joes"
I used some sculpy clay and made a few molds of the pouches on 25th snake eyes. I used that mold to apply 4 customs pouches to my Field Surgeon. 1 on each arm, 1 on chest, and one on helmet.

Here is the old file card

My rework Photoshopped one..

Cobra Field Surgeon complete.

So now all I am missing is a box from Destro or something to put some type of Photoshopped sticker of medical tools in...

lemme know what you think.

That's pretty cool. Simple, yet effective.

Great work, especially for a first custom. Of all the figures in that pack, I think that the stinger driver with it's neutral colors has the most customization possibilities.

yeah I really wanted to try a small paint job that had to use tooth pics (for the buttons) and applying new details to an exiting mold, without actually casting and creating a new mold. so this helped as a learning experience.

I am pretty happy with the outcome.

plus with his helmet off and the white mask he does look like a surgeon for any cobra dio I do ;-)

Thanks!

Thanks Tim!

Yeah I plan on doing small things that help add a new skill or understanding of how things work before I get to fancy.

I have learned a ton from the JC fellas in the short couple of weeks here so far.

First custom? Shiznit, that's freakin' rad.... Another necessary specialty for the Cobra army that Hasbro HASN'T done and likely won't anytime soon, it's nice to see it made reality if not officially. It's every bit as minimalist as it needs to be, both for their place in the legions (i.e. Cobra MASH) and to fit with the basics of the Cobra organization in the line so far.

I think I'm going to rip it off!

P.S. That guy is hella cooler than the Medi-Viper ever was.

Thanks man!

I almost put a longer pouch on the right side of his abdomen, but I didn't want him to have a fanny pack. :)

The one thing that disappoints me a few days later, is how shiny testor paint is.

He fits in good on my shelf except for his shinyness. I need to find a more "flat" type paint to use.
