I love the new really-well articulated Star Wars figures, but Hasbro hasn't made a Darth Vader up to the standards of, say, the jungle Clone Trooper dude. So I got tired of waiting and schlepped together a near-LBC ^_^ Took me about an afternoon. I also love the looks of the various Vader figures out there, like the prototype or the Nightmare vision, but again, articulation sucked. So the accessories are all interchangeable.

The only trick was how to provide the ball-jointed torso and hips, but again, all pretty easy. I just cut off the necessary bits from the Evolutions Vader and grafted them onto the 25th Destro torso. A little green stuff and a little paint later, and he was done ^_^

Fan-friggin'-tastic!

I tried to do something like this but failed miserably. Yours is the best Vader I've ever seen - and the mini-dio shots are pretty sweet too.

Really great work - and good to hear from you again!

A Vader for all seasons, most excellent! All the different accessories are a nice touch, I think you've pulled off the definitive Vader.

I've been shying away from doing a Vader fig per se; as I've no place for Anakin in that form in my Asunderverse. But this is definately making me rethink that as this is just sweetness defined.

Nice figure. And most certainly the most complete Vader I've ever seen.

I bashed a Vader onto a ARAH body a while ago but never liked it because he wasen't tall or imposing enough.

Yours is all that and more. Tall imposing and production like. SsssWeeeT.

Yeah, this is really nice. It's almost like a Soul of Chogokin version of Darth Vader!

^__^ I'm glad everyone likes it. If you need a Darth Vader in your collection, this is tewtally the way to go. All you need is a dremel, a little green stuff or milliput, some fabric and the necessary accessories. An Evolutions Vader is a great starting off point, just 'cause the plastic on his torso and crotch is a little softer than the A New Hope figure, and the shoulder armor-thing pops off with a little hot water. Just dremel down the torso details on Destro, and cut off his arms and legs. Then quarter-up Vader, cut his voicebox thingie off, remove his belt, and crack his waist in half. Dremel down the front plate a little, too. You'll find that if you just boil and pop his head off, the peg that it fits into works almost perfectly with the ball joint on Destro's neck; same with the A New Hope version. With a little green stuff around his torso, arms, and legs, he's ready for just a touch of black paint, then glue whatever accessories you want on and he's ready to go ^____^ Hope this helps~!

Oh, and as for the Hello Kitty armor? Totally gonna add a new cape and helmet to his accessories :D It can be for those long hours in daycare.
