HERE IS MY TAKE ON VOLTAR THE 2ND IN CHARGE OF THE IRON GRENADIERS. THIS IS THE 2ND CUSTOM FOR THE IGS WHEN I GET THE 25 ANNY DESTRO IG HE WILL BE CUSTOMIZED MODERN STYLE TO FIT IN WITH MY COLLECTION MAYBE. BUT ANY WAY THANKS FOR LOOKING AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK.

Seriously, nice job bringing some respect to Voltar. He fits in with the rest of the IGs nicely. You'll be bringing some of you stuff to display at JoeCanuck, right?

Very nice, Sean. I actually like this toned down look better then the V1.

I am looking forward to seeing the rest of your IG customs. I love the black/gold/silver red color scheme and I can't wait to see what you do with it. I take it that the green headed dude is an Undertow?

Without his gear V looks a little lanky. With his gear though he looks just about right.

I agree, I think this is a much better version than the over the top original.

Very nice concept here and well executed.

The only thing I'm not feeling 100% is the head -- specifically the beard. There's something a little off about it. Can't quite put my finger on what, though.

Still, it's not enough to detract from what I think is a huge improvement on the character design.

Thats kinda what I was thinking. Were I totally like the custom I just don't get that he is an evil genius warmonger. With the full beard it he looks like a Eastern European mercenary so I can dig it.

Were did you get that head though. It would be perfect for some projects, did you full mod it or is it mostly production?

When I read the title, I thought that you meant that he was the second in your "Charge of the Iron Grenadiers!" project.

I think that Charge of the Iron Grenadiers is a great name for a custom set like this, even if it was my old eyes failing that made me think that that was what you were saying. ;-)

Hell yeah. Practical, nondescript, no frills or dressing up. Nothing that will make Voltar stand out in the least, just as it should. He'll stand proudly in Destro's presence and let his gold masked boss be the scariest thing in the formation, as it should be.

Figure looks even better in person. The beard looks great when you can see it for yourself.

This got me playing with my Voltar and I never noticed it before he does have a full beard. I always thought it was a goatee. Must be the helmet messing with the line of the figure. So I will totally recant what I said on the beard.
