Picked this up at a KB Toys clearance sale (going out of business sale)
The plastic was VERY brittle, had to superglue it several times after
it shattered trying to saw it and drill it. No paint yet, probably will go with black
plus cobra insignias.

I think I need a smaller vehicle in there too plus something to do w/ the
roof once it's open.. too much wasted space.

Ideas?

The televiper's chair I had to make myself out of some plastic from a
storage container plus lego pieces. It swivels too. The computer, video camera,
and televiper backpack aren't glued down yet, haven't decided where to stick them.
I want to make some kinda of data/communcations room, but it's cramped in there.

Maybe it's better w/o the vehicle in it and better to build a stockade or something instead?
Need ideas for parts though, I'm kinda limited on that stuff...

You are off to a great start. That vehicle is cool, would have like to see what it was before you cut into it. Anyway, if you are needing parts for it, let me know as I have a big box of broken joe parts that are great for custom work like this.

The vehicle was pretty much as you see it w/o the
cuts. The top was all one piece but the turret still rotated.
So, the steps I took:
1) Unscrew the top
2) Cut the cockpit off and screw that back on
3) Hinge the rest
4) Fix the shattered pieces w/ glue
5) Remove the electronics

Here's a boxed shot:

Those 1:18 Ultimate Soldier Extreme detail figs on the right were
a great deal, even though they weren't offical Joes... 3 for $9.98
AND then take 50% off... couldn't pass 'em up.

Thanks for the offer on stuff. I still need to figure out what to put
in the top before I can say though. the original ROCC had the
firebat and launch gantry but I can't really do that w/ my Fang
and make it work. I'm thinking some kind of stockade will do it.
I've got some old transformer parts that might work, will post more
if I get to work on it today

Wow, cool vehicle! It'll probably be awesome when painted.
Great how you made the top to open up, never thought of using those little golden things.

Cool so far, definately want to see it finished. Any plans for additional detail on the inside? My son got something similiar to this for Christmas and was curious if had any possibilities. I now know it does.
