-------------------------------------------------------------
Excerpt from Field Report
To: Tomax and Xamot
From: Guardsman Faces, stationed undercover in the Congo

"If we're going to make a move on the Coil, we're going to have to do it soon. Fred is preparing for something big...and, unfortunately, being a paranoid SOB he is, he's keeping as many people out of the loop as he can. All I know is that there's been a massive recruitment surge lately. Anyone, and I mean ANYONE, who can hold a gun is being accepted. It's a nightmare down here. He's drafting from opposing militias, so entire battalions of troops have to be kept separate from one another so they don't kill each other. It's pretty obvious that he's not looking to out-skill us; he just wants to bury us in his own dead. That's not to say, of course, that they aren't getting some training. He's actually got an old friend taking care of that...a certain eye-patched 'poet' who makes Jewel sound like TS Eliot. Bludd is training these people to be as ruthless as possible, right down to training them how to best use civilians as shields. The guy has always been one cold-hearted bastard, but something seems to have seriously unhinged in him lately. The rest of the Coil hierarchy sure hates him. They can't believe that Fred is wasting their dwindling resources on paying for his services. Funny thing is, he's not the only one. See, I got bored a few nights ago and started examining Bludd's private accounts...which took some doing. Apparently, the good Major has received three very sizable payments in the last month or so from an unknown source. Since I'm positive that Destro would never deal with a man who once tried to kill him, and I know that Bludd isn't on our payroll....I suppose only time will tell."

====================================================

And now the figure. I'll admit, I've never been a huge Major Bludd fan. But he's just too important to the Joe mythos to not include in my project.

Parts:
Head: DTC Major Bludd
Right Arm: 30th Anniversary Airborne Clone
Belt: DTC Major Bludd
Everything Else: 25th Zartan

You did a GREAT job capturing the v1 look of the good Major!

Interesting parts selection and impressive paint work :)

That's a great looking Major Bludd. It gives a good update with 25th parts and modern looking armor, but captures the v1 look really well - good work on that.

Very nice, captures the look of v1 perfectly. I'd be interested in finding out the mysterious benefactor. I'm thinking either the Joes or US Govt.

Great work. The bio puts him firmly in your Reign Of The Serpent Universe but the figure could well be 25th Bludd from Hasbro.
