For my 450th custom, here's Kamakura in ARAH format. The character's been done in every other format by Hasbro, including 1:12 and 1:6, so it was time for this.

How do your rivet sculpt overs hold up over time? It's a really nice finish to the sculpting you're doing, just curious if it ever interferes with mobility or starts to crack?

Very cool final results.

Thanks!

It's Aves epoxy. No issues ever on the thigh screw insets, and surprisingly the elbow rivets. The shoulder rivets can be problems, especially on the larger ones on the NS figures with the softer plastic. That said, I pose them a few times for photographing, and then to put on a shelf. Not sure how well the epoxy would do with repeated movement.

Also, it doesn't discolor down the road or make the paint on it sticky, something I ran into when I used plumber's epoxy before discovering Aves.

I couldn't get the padding to look uniform, even though I used a surface (the edge of a water bottle lid) to make it uniform. The metallic wash is disguising a lot of the imperfections in the sculpt.

And there was some fear- I didn't squeeze the Marauder Uzi into the hands because it felt like the thumbs would snap off!

This is awesome. If you hadn't included the WIP I would have never guessed the parts

The recipe isn't too different than other ones people did 20 years ago. My contribution is the use of the Bazooka arms.

Thanks!

It is "Aves Epoxie Sculpt Modeling Compound". It's a two part epoxy of two clay-like components that get mixed together.

Thanks.

As far as the sculpting, I couldn't get the forearm and shin guards to look like what I had imagined. But the sculpting on the mask, hiding the mouth that was still visible through Firefly's mask, was probably the best use of epoxy.
