Humor me... If I said only that this WIP is an established, fairly popular character, but features only traces of his signature sculpt, who would you say he is? To me, it is exactly the character I have in mind, but I'm curious if anyone else sees it. The only hints I'll give are... (a) it is not Duke and (b) the original figure was not in any kind of extreme environment gear (eg, a wet suit, cold-weather gear, space suit, etc.).

Oooh, Beach head with a rolled up mask, good call! I really like that idea, might have to borrow it. That'd have to be my guess. |

It's not reading as any specific character to me, but that's not a bad thing. |

Thanks for playing along, everybody! Very interesting to see what everyone thought. Especially interesting to see that one person agrees with me... Dark Jedi, your no-prize is in the mail! This one is destined to be Hit & Run. I'm thinking about paint treatments and facial camo and stuff, and I don't want to go too far, but I still want him to read as H&R. Good to know at least one other person is seeing a hint of H&R without all the other signifiers. As for the rest of you, Beachhead was an excellent guess, but clearly, this dude has no mustache. |
