What if........you had to repaint a figure in such a way that it would turn into a member of a different faction/the enemy?
I took a Sci-Fi '86 and tried to paint it in a S.A.W.-Viper '90 scheme. Here is the result:

That's just... Woah. Especially seeing them side by side, yours is way better.

i like your recolor better than the og sci-fi figure. i even like it better than the figure you are mimicking!

That is super fantastic. Great work. The leg things on Sci-Fi finally make sense and totally work as magazines

As a V2 this works really well. Nice job.

This is pretty sweet. Completely changes that figure and works 100%

Sorry for the late replies, guys. Had a very busy week at work + home, so not much hobby time. :-/
Doesn't mean I don't appreciate all your comments, not at all! :like:

Thank you, DOTD. I actually like him a little better too than V1, hahaha!

That idea does sound like what I did here. Didn't see that thread before, I was actually inspired by a combination of earlier Group Projects: Repaint Central + Mirror Universe.
Thanks a bunch!

Indeed, that's the reason I armed him with that weapon. Good to see you noticed it!

I highly appreciate that, AVE! (what's your name on FB, btw?)

Selecting what parts to paint in which colour was probably the hardest part: how could I make it look different enough from the original Sci-Fi while still trying to S.A.W. Viper's look. But it was a lot of fun working on him!

Great concept and flawless execution. SciFi looks great in SAW Viper colors. Seeing this made me curious so I had to try out SAW viper in Scifi colors and I think it definitely doesn't work as well but I'm sure if anyone could make it work it'd be you. I don't know if there was already a "Pallete Swap" group project but I think it would be fun.
