Those of you who have been around a while (like ~20 years or so) might remember that I used to make a Moon Knight custom every other month or so.

Well, with the tv show coming out, and me wanting to give Marc more of a "what would the avatar of an Egyptian moon god actually look like besides all-spandex", I went back to the drawring board.

Decided to take elements from the tv show version and mash it with other looks. Still not where I want to be, but I'm starting to see it come to life.

The "skirt" is still too white, so I need to dirty that up some - but I want to keep the soft goods (tried some plastic alternatives and they all sucked)

The wraps on the chest piece need to be re-done, since they look like clumpy paint instead of cloth strips (I used Glide floss for all the wraps and whatnot), so I'll rework that and clean things up a bit.
Figure I'll paint the crescent cleanly and then have the wraps go over and around to look more like the tv version (I didn't decide to paint the emblem until after I wrapped it the first time)

I'm making the capes swappable, but need to probably build a second hood, since it's not white *enough* to go with the "clean" cape.

But hopefully I can figure it out before too long. - Still a lot of work to do, though.

Cheers!

Well, poop -

Let's hope I have another Future Foundation Spidey in my fodder bin so I don't have to screw around painting the joints white.

So disregard the first post, I guess. :-/

I love the cape and the gold accents. Not sold on the skirt. Me? I'd probably track down one of BFS kit pieces.

You'll hinder some of the leg articulation but you maybe probably aren't doing high round house kicks with him either. Maybe. Most likely. I just think it will blend with the torso better with the detailing on it.

Lack of articulation is exactly why I'm not using plastic skirt material (I have a few of those BFS parts.) He needs to be able to fight and sit in the Mooncopter, after all...

As a fan, how do you feel about the dapper suited look that disney is promoting? I'm thinking of making one with my lone Blask Mask figure but go for the more traditional hooded mask.Image

That is a great looking figure. Love the torn cape. MK is one of my top 5 favorite characters so seeing this makes me happy. Great work

So I went back to the drawring board a bit - decided to go full-on "Egyption Knight Armor" with him -- a blend of the MCU version and the Fist of Khonshu version from the 80s.

Also - I built a Mooncopter.

Still needs a lot of work - there is superglue residue on the chest from where I had the "wraps" before, so I need to sand that down and touch up the paint everywhere, but I'm happy with this direction. And the "Mooncopter" needs touchups on the paint and I may add some weapons & greeblies. And I still need to deck out the cockpit with stuff.

And there's this guy - not sure how I feel about it - he's so much smaller than the MU-based custom, but it's a fun idea - just need to paint up the mask and add some details.

Maybe I'll get around to finishing them sooner than later.

Cheers!

That's good stuff, Chief!

I'm not totally sold on the look of the character in the show, but like that it inspired this to some extent.

What's that Moon Copter made from?

Love the "Egyptian knight armor" look!
Great idea to use the Stargate Winged Glider for Moon Knight.

Funny thing is, you are the first person I thought of when I saw they were making a Moon Knight show.
You're easily the biggest Moon Knight fan I've ever known of.
