Excerpt from the files of Galactic Intelligence: Joint Operations Elite field commander Stalker:

Destro's personal army, the "Durosteel Grenadiers" are the most highly trained, well armed, and rigorously disciplined soldiers money can buy. They are far more than mercenaries though, they are unwaveringly loyal to Destro and will fight to the last man for his honor. The Grenadier ranks are broken up into several classes of specialized trooper including pilots, heavy armor operators, and experimental weapons testing, just to name a few.

Their pilots are some of the deadliest flyers in the galaxy and can pilot anything from a single person snub fighter to a capital ship. Destro uses an elite cadre of pilots (denoted by their helmet's gold piping) to ferry him to his many business meetings throughout the galaxy. All Grenadier Pilots' flightsuits contain an on-board HUD readout projected on the insides of their lenses and an extremely efficient life support system in the event that they find themselves exposed to the void.

Yeah, I gotta agree these are prolly your most sublime BotS figs yet. Very cool parts selection and especially coloring. That red is dead-bang *perfect* here. What's the rest of the recipe, man? What're the chest breather and mouthpiece from?

Thanks, AV! :D

The chestbox is just the top trimmed off of one of those VvV wrist communicators (I use alot of them in my work as they have a very cool sci-fi look ;) ) and the mouthpiece is made from 4 pieces trimmed off of the Chap Mei Alex Aqua diver figure found in both "Dino Vally" and the "Deep Sea Exploration" series of toys.

Yep.....this is your best custom so far for my tastes.

What is truly amaizing is that you are using Vader figure to make verry unique custom that dont even look like Vader.......I dont know if you get my point but this is VERY impressive work!!

Really very cool looking figure...and a great use of a Vader head on a non Vader custom.

I know it's part of your style and preference, but I can't help but add I'd love to see your work with more articulation.

also...while it fits into your universe well...the name "Durosteel Grenadier" just feels really odd. Could a similar change like "Ion Grenadier" work for you? it's still Star Wars techy, but less to get garbled on the tounge. who knows...maybe you'll give one of them an ion Grenade.

Pretty darn cool, took me a few seconds to figure out what head that was. Interesting use of it.

I love the concept, but For some reason, the helmet just strikes me as off, in addition, the red is a bit dull/flat. I would prefer a more vivid/bright.

I love your work, and I happen to like the "Durosteel" tag, I just can't get past the helmet.

See below in my thoughts on the helmet :)

I went with a flat red simply as bright colors look kind of goofy at this scale. The darker/flatter color makes for a better presentation and makes it look a bit less "toy like", well to me it does anyway, your mileage may vary

Glad you enjoy my work, I enjoy making them and it always makes me feel good to know that others enjoy what I am doing :)

Glad you like the "Durosteel" tag, that is the Star Wars equivalent of "Iron" so I feel that it works even if it is a bit long to pronounce.

I went with the McVader heads here and with the Nullifiers simply because they just look evil. Plus, M.A.R.S. has been around a VERY long time and may just have had a hand in the initial design of a much older type of armor that Palpatine used as an inspiration for Vader's look....:shifty:
