I need help, I have WIP that I want to make his leggs longer so that he's taller than the standar 3 3/4" figure. In his bio he is described as 7' plus, but I don't know how to make the leggs longer. I could use some suggestions or if somebody wants to make a set or two I'm cool with that. This is for a dio story I'm working on for late 08. Thanks in advance.

Well, if you are up to it, you can cut the leg right above the boot, use some sort of sculpting putty to add more pant leg, then glue the boot back (or, rather than just glue it back, if you have a small drill bit you can drill a hole in the leg and a hole in the boot, add a big piece of paper clip and make a post, this will give you stability and add swivel ankles). Or, depending on what sort of custom you can find some really long legs, theres a few out there, like Barrage or Dart, they both have very long legs. Hope that helps.

One thing that helps a little, only a little though. You probably want to use this idea along with leg extensions. But, you can mix the type of parts. example... the older joes had good proportions as far as chest height and leg height. The more recent joes, have a long leg compared to chest. So try to get an older figure chest with newer legs. another thing to try is combining legs. example... one of my storm shadows [ver 17 or 18 (I think)], has long thighs and short calves. This gives the figure the same leg length as the others. So just use SS thighs and another calves. That will give you a little. There is another possibility. I ran into a problem making a figure with one of those action chests, the bottom of the chest is cut flat, but, I wanted it to fit a regular waist which has a little curve to it. So I had to make a sculpy piece to fit the two pieces together. Actually this adds to the chest height. Which I think would go good with long legs. Keeping closer to original proportions. The figure I did this with can be found here.
