After seeing all the great work on here and on Facebook I have decided to challenge myself this year (yes I know I have lost a month already). My goal is to make 365 custom figures this year. My plans are to post photos of the figures at the end of each month or sooner (I hate taking pictures and uploading them). Although I haven't posted anything yet for January I was busy working on things. Some of the customs will be LBC, others complete customs, and yes some strictly repaint and updates (though I hope to keep these at a minimum). While I love working with Joe parts, let's face it Lanard fodder is cheaper, so many of my creations will be using Corps parts. The fact that I bought like 60 figures on clearance last month helps a lot. At the moment I seem to have more Lanard and Marvel fodder than anything else. My hope is to get some constructive feedback and to share my work with others. However, what really excites me is that I'll be using some parts that I have made. I'm learning how to cast heads (ARAH and knockoffs, along with a few I have sculpted on) and am hoping to move up to torsos, legs, and the crotch piece.

I have some photographed already for the January crew and hope to have the rest photographed by this weekend. I'm not much on long lengthy bios, I do good to come up with a name most of the time. I am doing some custom troop building, would that count as one custom each or one for the group? I'm thinking each one is a custom, but what are some of your alls thoughts? Wish me luck and let me know what you think.

Took pictures tonight of the ones I finished in January. There were one or two I had made previously but didn't like how they looked so I update/upgraded them.

Sometimes Dr. Mindbender's experiments don't go as planned. This is one of those experiments.

Lets face it, while GI Joe has pretty much cover every part of the armed forces, I realized that one area had been overlooked. While watching Mash I realized there were no clergymen on the team. So I decided to fill this much needed niche. "Soldiers may fight with guns but real battles are fought on your knees."

Here is my take on the Canadian version of Spirit which was called Shaman. This is one of those that I built earlier but wasn't happy with it so I reworked it.

Another Dreadnok. I had made this figure a while back but didn't like the head. It looked too much like the Gnawgahyde even when I repainted it. So I sculpted some on the head and liked it much better. I have made several casts of this head also.

This is one I made for the October Guard project but never got the time to photograph it. When I saw the Taurus head I knew who I was going to make. I just had to find the right torso. I have been a wrestling fan from the old days, I just had to make a custom of Ivan Koloff

Now for some non-GI Joe figures. I love the figures from Lanard and they are fun to customize. I wanted to do some troop building and these six figures apart of my Curse: Extreme Conditions Squad. Rather than having everyone have the same face, I filled in the open space on Ogre's helmet to make a face shield. One day I may find a better head but this one works for now. Other than that, I painted the accented parts on Ogre.

Rather than stop at faceless minions for Ogre's squad I wanted to include others.
