Night Vulture seemingly was supposed to be an ‘army builder’ to read the filecard but everything about the figure screams “one man killing spree” on foot or by glider. If it was not for the blaring loud orange, the figure might have been a nice shadowy infiltration type. The texture on the boots, vest, and gauntlets was random but the whole package was otherwise pretty sick design-wise.

Looking at the Night Vulture figure again a few weeks ago gave me the inclination that he might work well in the sleek new 25th Anniversary format.

A dark “burnt orange” shade of paint substituted for the almost-dayglow deco and amber colored goggles to mix it up a bit and I think it came out a lot like many of the 25A figures Hasbro’s done: reminiscent of the originals but fresh and ready for the new millennium. Beachhead’s crossbow and a VvV pistol completed the look of a guy ready for serious business on Cobra’s behalf.

very nice use of colors, staying true to the classic, yet giving it a modern, common sense update.
Love the web gear.

Great goggles. They make the figure.

That's a nice take on one of my favorite Cobras.
For me I'd pass on the goggles- but to each his own.

I like what you did with the goggles, but I think I'd go with a Snake-eyes head.

Overall, very cool. If you want to give him a glider, the House of M Wolverine came with a really cool glider.

this is my favorite 25a custom so far. My only beef is I'm not crazy about the head - Is that standard or did you sculpt it? What's the recipe for this, and where did those goggles come from.

Nice job! I think this is the first custom I've ever seen of this character. Only critique is that it looks a tad bit skinny (though 25th anny do look that way).

:-D

Thanks, for the kind words! glad y'allike him, I'm proud of this figure.

the goggles actually belonged to a Star Wars figure and I can thank RIT dye for the coloring. Yeah, most the 25A figures tend to look a little skinny, I don't this one's much moreso that the majority of them.

ya know, I'm all about obscure characters, looks like I pulled that off pretty well here, eh?

Night Vulture is a very hard figure to find, and didn't get much pub. I like the burnt orange was a very nice touch. I never thought about doing a remake of NV, but yours came out great.

I think IWBETA had a good point about using one of the many many SE heads.
