Here's the first Spartan I'm working on (I plan on making between 15-20). Still needs his shield, and perhaps a better sword and spear.

He features a usable sheath

and custom made sandals

Here's a shot without the flash

He took about 4 hours to put together and paint.

Looks really sharp so far!

I have to ask, what line is that spear from?

Damn... Someone stockpiled clearanced Namors!
Looks good John; I like the soft shin guards, they shouldn't hamper any movement.
Though if you really want to do it right, you're gonna need 301 Namors. Any chance of some Immortals & Xerxes?

that looks great! only thing I dont like about namor is his smaller arms kinda like Trex, they always seem to fall off, but you do get a flesh body, that was the first body that came to mind for my Spartan custom, the MM body is too puny for 300,

what head is that? did you sculpt the helmet?

Looks fantastic. Really great work on the softgoods. They flow onto the figure flawlessly.

Thanks for the feedback.

killuminati- the head is a cast from a Star Wars figure. It's one of two or three different helmets I hope to use.

Dave- The Immortals I would certainly like to make. We'll see.

Dan- The spear is from the Army of Darkness line. I'm not sure which pack it came in though (Still in stock at Highway Hobby House on 17 though).

Hot damn YES. That's beautimous, John.

I'd think you could use some 25A Storm Shadows as the base for the Immortals, for whatever that's worth.

Not a bad idea, Jimbo. I'm also going to try your cape idea for the next one.

Make sure you go semi-circular when you cut the cape out. Them guys back in the old days lived in their capes, wrapping them completely around themselves when they slept out in the open; not as simple costume ornamentation like most superheroes.

You'll be offering them sandaled feet in your store, right?

I think I'm going to redo this cape as well- making it bigger. Maybe use a softer material too.
As for the feet they were very easy to do. I'll take some WIP pics when I do the next one.

Sure, 'very easy to do' for them guys with 40-bajillion Namors laying around. Not so much for the rest of us.

Here's a look at the shield I finished this morning (Made two so far). I also redid the cape.
