To make a long story short, my particular collecting fetish is to have one of each character in RAH form. The tough part of that is that not all characters, especially the ones that have recently been released, were in RAH form.

So with greenshirt packs being pretty cheap and plentiful, I decided to carve down the neck half balls, and put the new sculpt heads on greenshirt bodies. I figure that since these are the "new guys" this is where they'd start anyway.

WIth the soft plastic and an xacto knife, I'm getting pretty handy at doing this, and barely ever cut myself anymore in the attempt.

I have more on the way, but this is a start. All the parts for all of these came from people at this board, including the greenshirt bodies that came from Beav. So thanks guys, and this is what I did with your stuff:

And a few more.

Quite accidently you can see Psyche Out's giant noggin in the background of Rollbar's pic for a size comparison. I really like the new sized heads on the '83 bodies, as they seem to be nicely sized for each other.

And last of all Red Spot.

I saw that the Comic pack Stalker was a good match for Red Spot's colors - including how Stalkers brown fleshtone matched the glove color.

I went with it.

Interesting concept...

Can you post some photos of the interior of the torso in the neck area? I'd like to see what you did to accomodate the ball necks.

I LOVE it! They look like they came that way.

Hard Drive especially looks great. The hat matches the webgear nicely.

But where's Major Barrage? :shifty:

:rotfl: That would be an insult to a masterpiece of a muscled and ripped physique
THOUGH i would like to see that figure repainted in greenshirt colors (i.e. the pants and tanktop matching the colors of the greenshirt uniform)

It's an awesome idea and great execution of them. It's kind of the opposite of what i'm planning on doing, taking some of these newer guys and making more respectible 25th anni versions. I mean let's face it Hard Drive and Red Spot weren't the greatest of characters or sculpts. You're greenshirt versions are much nicer, i'd rather have them in my collection versus the modern ones and I don't even really collect ARAH.

KICKASS Raps!

I was doing pretty much the opposite myself when I got back into collecting/customizing, making new sculpt versions of all the RAH charaters that werent made. Great jobs on all of them!

This is great. I did a similar thing swapping the heads of the few new sculpt figures I had into RAH - Crosshair, Hacker, and Hi-Tech. Not grooving on the new sculpt bodies, but I got nothing wrong with the heads or characters. Major plus turning new joes into specific greenshirts. Totally the scene in my joeverse.

I like a lot of them, but Red Spot's recipe has already been stolen. :D

Depends on how quick you can goose the gallery staff into posting these badboys.

Actually the helmet pic doesn't do it justice because I took it from a low angle.
