When I got the Combat Squad "Sgt. Boulder" figure I was glad to get another new character but aside from the name difference (which we all knew about) Hasbro just didn't seem to take this figure to its fullest potential. So I took it upon myself and with a few minor tweaks and modifications I have an Alpine I am happy with for now. ![]() ![]() He's all Combat Squad Sgt. Boulder with the beard removed, the do-rag modified into a ball cap using the bill from a cast cap I have. In addition to changing his uniform color from that atrocious green to a more military look I lightened his skintone to help differentiate him from Heavy Duty and Roadblock. Throw in some 1/6 climbing accessories and a harness from Flint and he's a respectable mountain trooper. |

Cause Sigma Six is dead? ![]() I'll offer you the best compliment I can think of - If I didn't see your name beside this, I'd think it was MacGyver's work... - R |

Wow that looks production In two ways... The paint apps are spot on - looks factory done The entire essemble looks like it was originally designed with Alpine in mind, it doesn't look kit-bashed at all. Everything works together. If you hadn't put a name on him I would have looked at it and instantly knew it was Alpine, and assumed it was straight off the toy shelf. |
