Ok, I only had my phone while doing this custom, but now I finally found the charger to my camera. And I was proud of this custom, so I wanted to show off some better pictures.
So here are some pictures of my custom Candy. My source of inspiration are Marvel comics #42 and the monumental #43

Read about the process of making this custom here:

The role of the red pickup is played by the yellow camaro.

She's pretty cool and would be awesome if poseable.

She came out really nice! And although it pains me that you are able to get 4" Hermiones for custom fodder, the fact that she looks so good almost makes up for it ;)

Very cool!

I want Candy!

This is real nice. I've got a few extra POTC Liz, so I'm gonna try this.

(BTW-this is one done from the Marvel list I made)

no it's not. started this one before you started your list. I have been waiting for an oportunity to make candy, and with CCII I got one. It's definetely a character that deserves a figure, and the singapore liz made for a flying start.

thanks for good words. sadly, the figure is not very poseable, as I have sealed her waist- and elbow movement. but she can bend over.. :shifty:

Chief: I have a reputation to maintain; using euro exclusives for custom fodder. ;)

They have other Harry Potter figures, if you need them also.

She came out great, despite the articulation issues.

The '67 SS fills in nicely for the pick-up.

Where is her brown bag from?

And old eraser sort of like this: Image. Cut to shape, obviously.
Straps were made using an elertical wire.

Inspired!

As big as Harry Potter is in the US, I just don't understand why there have been no really big attempt at a toy line here.

And the NECA statues don't count.

Very nice looking custom. You really managed to capture the character's look. The only suggestion I can give is to use a matte or dull sealer as the figure is REALLY shiny. Other than that, great job!

Yeah I agree. The skirt and boots got the effect I wanted, but the shirt became too shiny. One problem though: I only have one type of sealer, and that is glossy varnish. Need to get a couple of more types obviously ;)

There is no varnish on the skin or the hair, only the paint I used. Should I have used matte sealer there too?

You should always seal any area that you have painted to prevent chipping/rubs from handling/playing/etc. It'll make life easier as you will not have to do touch ups everytime you handle the figure.

Whoa! No, no, no, no.

I know you started it before the list. I'm saying it like we can cross that specific Candy outfit off the list...:)

I don't mean to be a ballbuster but Dryhawk37 submitted a Candy in that outfit back in '03:
