Ioz

There are no records of the humanoid known as "Ioz" anywhere in the known galaxy until a few months ago when he suddenly appeared on Aquos. If you ask Ioz how he got here, and you're buying the ale, he'll tell you his tale. According to him, he and three companions from the planet Mer (completely unrelated to the Mer of our own galaxy) in another galaxy arrived on Aquos by travelling through a portal called a "stargate" that they discovered in an underwater palace on Mer. Ioz and his companions were attempting to destroy the portal before it fell into the hands of an evil Pirate Lord named Bloth. One of his companions, a clumsy creature called a monkeybird, accidentially activated the portal and they all fell through the device before the charges went off, destroying it, thereby leaving them no way home. The group found themselves in an underwater city of the most beautiful copper metal. Unfortunately for them, the city was completely submerged and they barely made it into an air filled glass dome (although the monkeybird apparently drowned on arrival, although Ioz grins evily while telling this portion of the tale...). Blasting the dome free they rode the rising air bubble up to the surface and were picked up by a Crimson Corsair vessel.

From here, Ioz's story is documented- he and his companions were given the choice of joining the ship's crew or walking the plank. Ioz, deciding that he had had enough of being a hero, joined up while his shocked companions vowed never to serve an evil pirate lord. They walked the plank. Ioz quickly rose up the ranks and eventually found himself serving aboard Ni'Hee's flagship, the Reaper. When the Crimson Corsairs absorbed the Tortuga's Raiders pirate clan, Ioz was awarded command of the Raider's flagship, the Black Pearl. Ioz earned this by beheading the former captain, Hex Bar'Bossa as an example to keep the rest of the Raiders in line.

During his captaincy of the Pearl, Ioz suffered a near-mortal wound at the hands of the psychotic sworsman Dirk Twoswords. The wound required massive head surgery to save Ioz's life, requiring the shaving of his head. Ioz refused to lose his two braids, of religious signifigance to his people, and they were spared (although horribly singed during the battle). Ioz bears the scars of his wound and continues to shave his head as a show of strength and his endurance.

This figure was done from memory, I have not seen "Pirates Of Darkwater" since it was on Cartoon Network almost 10 years ago so if his outfit is not cartoon accurate, I'm sorry but I got as close as I could.

Pintel + Regetti

The schemers Pintel and Regetti were the driving force behind the mutiny of Captain Jak Sparrow. They hoped to usurp Sparrow's power for themselves but lacked the charisma to do so on their own. They lucked out when the Pearl's former captain, Hex Bar'bossa escaped from prison and sought refuge with Tortuga's Raiders. They were ultimately unaware of Bar'bossa's plan of offering up the Raiders to Ni'Hee, a move which ultimately got him killed. Pintel and Regetti still scheme away, now looking for a way to get rid of the Pearl's current, Ni'Hee appointed captain, Ioz...

Note:
I know that they look almost exactly like their movie counterparts. There will be a few crewmembers of the Black Pearl that are only slightly cosmetically changed from their on-screen appearances as they are actualy supposed to represent these same characters.

Lonzo Calrissian

Nephew to the famed hero of the Rebellion, but without his uncle's sense of honor, Lonzo Calrissian is a cutthroat and a thief. Calrissian ran off to play pirate with the BoPox siblings and found that he really likes living the lifestyle. Calrissian has his uncle's gift for gambling and often spends his evenings separating his shipmates from their valuables at any number of games of chance.

great as always. Regetti is inspired, and Lonzo Calrissian is great too. Is he a cross of Stalker and Lando?

Glad you like them :)

I just liked Stalker's first name, I already have a Stalker in my 'verse as part of "Galactic Intelligence: Joint Operations Elite" :)

Just wait until you see tomorrow's update 8-O

Ioz, a friggin' Ioz. Awesome choice. I don't think it matters if he is cartoon accurate since you're blending him into your verse anyway.

I knew that was an evil Calrissian just by the Goatee. Great new character that fits in perfectly with what you have established already.

With Pintel I think I would have used a more Star Wars esq bandolier. Something that makes him look a little more sci fi and a littel less time bandit.

Regetti is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. You took the basic figure and just gave him a touch of sci fi. Now he's perfect.

Never seen Pirates of Dark Water, but I am loving that Loz figure. The colours look damn near perfect and the parts choice is inspired. Going to have to look up that series.
