The Road Rebel re-invisioned.

It started with this thread.....and then went a completly different direction than I had envisioned.
I wanted a unique vehicle for Barbecue. And with Dark Jedi's suggestion, I wanted to acknowledge the Boston Fire Department as well. I'm still working on the fine details ...but let me know what you think so far.....

Introducing the FRV, or FiRe-V, Barbecue's experimental rapid response fire "truck".

(future additions will include working lights, some hose additions, etc.)

Wow dude. That's an amazing example of what a thoughtful paint treatment can do to an easily forgotten random vehicle. Seriously - this is the epitome of spit shining a piece of ****.

As it stands now, in a half complete state, it is a thousand times better than what was officially released.

Now I'm very curious what you could do to all of the other turds of the line.

I'm seriously impressed Dave. That's easily in my top 3 favorite custom vehicles, and it's not even finished yet.

Darren

Best use of that vehicle ever.

My only suggestion is to find a suitable "Sound Attack" weapon to put on the port on the side. Maybe something that looks like a sprayer? maybe a hose or a chem kit grafted onto a Sound attack tab?

Looks really great CJack! Makes me want to take a second look at mine.

And hey look! Take the gun off and it's got a toilet on the back! How convenient must that be during a mission? ;)

Blowtorch's double tanked flamethower backpack?

WOW Guys I really appreciate the positive feedback!
This is only my second vehicle custom ever.
I had blowtorch's sound attack back pack set aside for this custom, but I've since misplaced it.
I'm still looking for ideas to make it more "fire truck" like so keep your thoughts coming!

Thanks Again,

David

I think that thing looks great.

Funny maybe cause Hockey season is coming, but it kinda looks like a Zambone when the sides are up. ;-)

Dude, that's great! Sharp paint apps & you've actually given the Road Rebel a purpose. Nice turd polishing Dave, I dig it.

You got that so Katie could get Big Ben, huh? ;)

I agree that it needs some siren lights. That burnt orange on white looks really sharp. You did an amazing job with all those labels too.

Looks awesome so far David...Stickers and fine touches really make a Custom Vehicle come together.

Not sure what you've got planned, or how far you feel like taking teh custom...but there's a couple spots you could do a bit more.

That fold down side thing...that dis nothing at all in the base vehicle...That needs to be a tool storage kit...add a first aid kit, some axes, maybe a hose and reel...spare nozzel or a pole axe...maybe a chainsaw or jaws of life....Whatever you want to add and can fit in there...but make that side do SOMTHING.

I'd like to see a canopy or Roll Bars or somthing... you can attache it to the front armor that tilts..and that'd be how it opens up. That'd give you a place to mount some sirens or a light bar and it shouldn't interfear too much with the big foam gun.

Possibly use the canopy from an ASP or Skyhawk...depending on the look...Maybe even the Roll Bars from the BF2K Jeep. (Eanalator...or somthing like that...I'll be damned if I can ever remember the names of those vehicles)
