Hey all. Was lucky enough to pick up an extra Beachhead with this custom in mind. I knew I'd eventually want to try one, so I figured it'd have to be one of my fav characters. Many thanks to Chief and all his helpful posts in his threads on how to mod to fix the height issue. I actually tried the SE leg swap, it just didn't look right. I ended up cutting about an 8th of an inch off each boot to reduce his size and capture the feel of the original. The fig itself is complete but I still need to gear him up. Here's my take on him so far. ![]() ![]() ![]() As always, feedback is welcome and appreciated. T |

I thought those parts would lend themselves well to Shockwave. That's the beauty of the 25A figures. Excellent job on the painting. |

WOW! Simple but effective. I love it. I hope Hasbro sees this. We're a hat and a vest away from an awesome Shockwave figure. And hey they even got the Shockwave name back! |

Very cool. Wasn't Shockwave one of the customs Hasbro teased us with at the Con? |

Thanks guys for all the feedback. I was originally going to go with grey instead of yellow to look more real, but decided to stick with yellow to try and do the fig classic justice. Now to find a backpack that will work with the new figs. May try PTE or BBI. T (the other TR) |

he looks totally awesome, you did a great job and hopefully hasbro will give us him too. I would've only thought about the camo pattern different but if you're going 25th anny style to make him look like it was you succeeded. Tim |

I have always liked Shockwave and forgot about this version of him when I saw a Beachhead the other day. May have to see if it's still there. very cool figure and love the classic look. Can anyone direct me to or tell me about these conversion things for the height problems. PM's would be fine no need to clog up this post. I am new to Joe customs and have really enjoyed the stuff I have seen here. |
