Post subject:  Airwolf (Finally!)

At last, I present the Lady.

Working features:
Opening front doors
Opening side panel for access to EDCC
Retractable landing gear
Extending and rotating ADF Pod
Extending chain guns
Lighted interior

To be honest, I'm not happy with some things on this build. The chain guns are far too delicate, and require reworking. The main gear is developing a bad habit of retracting when I don't want it to. There's some windows that don't fit like they should, and one that somehow developed a super glue fog. But I'm tired of working on this thing, and those items and some detail work (snap tabs, fuselage details, and markings) are gonna have to wait.

Sorry about the delay in updating the board. I just finished some detail painting today. I'll be out of town the next couple days, but I'll try to post some more pics this weekend. Lemme know what you think.

I'd like to see some shots of the interior when you get a chance cuz if its anything like the outside its going to kick so much ass its not even funny. Very VERY nice job!

Thanks, guys. Talesin Crow is right, you can check out the old Airwolf thread (about two years worth of posts) for WIP shots, interior shots, etc. It's pretty comprehensive.

This was my biggest project so far. There was no base vehicle. Almost 100% of the project was scratch built. I made the patterns, I built the vacuumformer, all of it. I used interior artwork from an Airwolf site to make the EDCC, and a photograph of an actual Bell 222 front console to make the main dash. Throw in some Christmas tree lights, a couple Tamiya rattle cans, and shake well, and this is the result.

Here's a couple of interior shots. Not real clear, but they give you a pretty good idea what the interior looks like.

Outback, you should be proud of yourself. This is so good, it doesn't qualify as a Custom.
