---------------------------------------------------------- Project: Reborn Excerpts from Report 1112, Day 10 Source: Chief Science Officer, Cesspool "I am pleased to report that our subject is making great strides in recent days. When we first attached the organic remains to the Lazarus Suit, I was fearful that our experiment would only be a success in the most literal of terms; the subject showed signs of brain activity, but was unresponsive to all stimuli. However, in the last two days, he has begun reacting . At first it was only dramatic changes in temperature that could bring about a reaction, but since then he has progressed to responding to auditory and visual stimulus as well. I believe we can credit these advances to the careful preservation techniques used on the subject's body immediately after his death, as well as the regenerative chemicals created by Dr. Scalpel and myself." Personal Journal excerpt Source: Chief Medical Officer, Scalpel "I had another session with Dr. Mindbender today. Our visits grow less and less frequent, and I cannot say that this upsets me. I did not have the pleasure of knowing the man in his original life, but those who did tell me that he was nothing like the person he is now...if you can even call him a person. During the initial stages of our grand experiment, when Cesspool and I were developing the Lazarus Suit, I often commented that I couldn't help but feel a bit like Dr. Frankenstein; like we were tampering in God's domain. Cesspool, of course, always the rationalist, told me I was being foolish, and that no limits should be put on scientific progress, especially due to superstition. I doubt he would have been so gung-ho if he knew he was creating his own successor. "The Emperor, at least, is pleased with my success. Of course, I would never go so far as to suggest that he is capable of being sentimental over the return of his slain 'father'. However, with Mindbender alive, we once again have access to wealthy of cloning and genetics knowledge that he possesses. The good doctor has already begun cloning grunt troops for the Emperor's armies. When I spoke to Mindbender today, I asked about the possibility of creating a cloned body for himself, which would certainly be less cumbersome than the Lazarus Suit. He told me that he preferred his new, mechanical body; that it didn't tire, didn't age, and didn't die. Then he told me something that I still have not been able to shake. He told me that the question he gets asked most since his return is what death is like. He said that he doesn't know if there's a heaven, but there is most surely a hell, and it is not a place he is eager to return to." .............and if you actually read through all that, thank you. And now the picture. ![]() Parts: Main body: VvV Overkill (modified) Right Hand: Bat mk5 hand (modified) Head: JvC Mindbender (modified) Dome: Hannibal accessory (modified) Backpack (doesn't really show in pic): POTF Boba Fett (modified) I love campy sci-fi, my main inspiration for this one was the bad movie classic, They Saved Hitler's Brain |

That is really neat. It isn't quite as campy as that movie though. This concept has real potential. Love the bio too. |

Absolutely incredible. The face-tank is really just brilliantly pulled off. I think it's the speckling both on the head and the helmet that gives it such a liquid-y look, but whatever, its really creative and perfectly done. One of the most original customs I've seen ^^ Prolly the best Mindbender custom, too. Will he have any replacement limbs? |

Thanks for the feedback, everyone! I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out. I should have another custom up later today or tomorrow. Immortalzodd wrote: Absolutely incredible. Anyway, the 'liquid' affect was done by filling the little dome part with half clear green paint, half water, and swishing it around...gave it a nice swirled effect. Quote: Forgot to ask, how did you made that head?? Construction wise, the dome is the display-dome that came with comic pack Hannibal trimmed down. I then took a big ol' glob of sculpting compound and formed it around the bottom of the dome (for best fit). The head inside is the JvC mindbender with his facial hair and monocle trimmed off. I painted it dark gray and then did a heavy drybrush of light gray to give him that zombie look. |

Really cool - the figure is just awesome and the backstory is very well done and very steal-able...... And you know it's good when Immortalzodd takes time away from her hectic school schedule to comment on it ![]() |
