Ok, so when I made all my "chick Joes" the other day, I noticed a distinct lack of diversity among them (and no, redheads don't count as "diverse".) And despite Ron Burgundy's assertion, Diversity is not an Old Wooden Ship used during the Civil War.
Sure, Jinx is Japanese, but everyone else seems to be a little too homogeneous for me. So I managed to salvage the Mara Jade head that I ruined trying to make Lady Jaye, and by some miracle, I managed to paint halfway decent eyes on her along with a darker skin tone, which looked pretty good, IMO. Then I had to decide who this character was going to be. I've already made a "Carla Greer" Doc (I envisioned her as Doc's daughter who joined the team to honor her Dad), but with 25A Doc coming back, I may re-write history and bring Carl back to life. Then I thought of Shooter, and how I really liked her depiction in Declassified, but I figured I'd leave her dead, since we never saw her in the normal Marvel run (the basis for my 'verse.) So I figured, what if Shooter had a sister? And I came up with this mini-bio in about 30 seconds:
1LT Silvia Craig is the younger sister of SFC Phyllis(?-they never listed her first name) Craig, Code Named "Shooter", the original GI Joe team Sniper, who was killed in action on one of the team's early missions. Silvia was in high school when her sister died. She attended (insert college name here) University where she received a degree in psychology while on an ROTC Scholarship. She received her commission and served her first 2 years in the Army in a Civil Affairs Battalion. It was at Fort Bragg, while temporarily attached to the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) that she received her security clearance and gained access to the real truth about how her sister died. Stricken by grief, but swelling with pride over her sister's dedication to her Nation, Silvia immediately requested transfer to the GI Joe team, where she now serves as a Hostage Negotiator and resident "Head Shrinker". Her uncanny ability to negotiate with unsavory types while maintaining her unwavering honesty earned her the name "Straight-Shooter", which is also an homage to her big sister's service with the team. So often, her teammates just call her "Shooter", which pleases her greatly. She's a highly-successful negotiator, having the ability to get inside the minds her subjects and talk them down from just about anything. And being a hottie doesn't hurt much either (which explains the low-cut shirt

)
Yeah, that was lame, but so what?

Here's the fig -- pretty simple repaint of a Jaye with a Mara head. Accessory-wise, I was thinking of getting her a bullhorn, but figured a briefcase and a cell phone works better nowadays. Oh, and the eyes don't look so severe in person- I think it's the lighting in the pic.

Enjoy!
EDIT: Ok, the eyes were kinda freaky in person after all. The pupils were too big and the eyeballs were too bright. So how's this?
