I'm glad that Hasbro is finally giving the EU characters some more attention, but I have a feeling some of them will never see a second release. Such is the case with the cloned Emperor from Dark Empire comics. Now, I'm one of not a few people who doesn't view Dark Empire as the greatest atrocity to befall the Star Wars continuity since Greedo shot first. I actually enjoyed it (....Dark Empire II, less so, as it seemed to lack any kind of plot cohesion). But anyway...
I liked the original POTF2 EU Cloned Emperor figure, but compared to even modern SW figures, he's quite a bit lacking (as are all POTF2 figures). So I threw this one together. The hardest part was making his collar (I toned down the giant dracula-ness of it a bit). If you're wondering, it is the bottom of the stick-on part of new-sculpt Cover Girl's torso trimmed and turned upside down. This was a hard custom to make, as there aren't a lot of reference photos of the cloned emperor where his outfit is visible. Most of my references came from some SW fan's cosplay site, actually.
Parts:
Base figure: Ep3 Dooku
Head: Ep3 Tarkin (modified quite a bit)
Hands: Pit Viper
Leg armor: Carved off of VvV Kamakura
Neck armor: Princess Leia Collection bespin Leia
Cloak: Ep3 Emperor Palpatine w/ cover girl torso part collar
Saber: Dark Woman hilt w/ red blade (I know it was blue in the comics, but I'm a traditionalist).
