I thought I was happy with my 25A SE (hell, I thought I was happy with the new-sculpt custom that took me 2 years to finish), but when I got my 25A Beach Head and "fixed" him (gave him smaller legs so he'd be in-scale), I knew I had to re-attempt an "ultimate" Snake-Eyes.

So I found another batch of Wave 2 today and got home and started on 25A SE Mark IV:

I think he looks more "Commando" than before. Yes, he still has the visor & the sword, but BH's sweater really seems to make a difference. I painted the sweater in Citadel "Chaos Black" and the rest in regular Model Master Flat Black - you can hardly tell from the pics, but the subtle difference in color looks really cool in person. His arms look a big scrawny, but I think a change in gloves might fix that (give him some tapering at the wrists), but for now, I'm diggin' him.

Side-by-side with a "factory" SE (notice the height difference -a major reason I wanted to do this custom.)

With my modded BH -

The happy couple:

Straight-up Commando-style:

Oh, and here's my BH side-by-side with the Hasbro version (can they ever get a scale right?)

Cheers!

I really like the swappable noggins you have going on with these.

That works.

Very innovative.

You know, I'd kind of like to see you do a Snake Eyes in the original planned colors...black sweater and camo pants. I think that'd look sweet next to your Beach Head.

Thanks guys!

Spin - I've actually got that one in the hopper (waiting on more BeachHeads to arrive from HTS) -- the S6 "Commando" SE is my favorite S6 fig and it seems to draw from the original concept, so I'm going to do it in 25A style.

They look pretty cool. I see you painted the beret on Beachhead instead of cutting it. It makes a cool loop thing of you cut it off and dremel it out btw. The Commando Snake Eyes looks super cool. I need another Beachhead now.

I figured you'd be the one to catch that ;)

On mine, it's not really a beret, it's his mask folded into the loop (which I realize looks dumb when he's wearing his mask - ok, maybe it's a spare :P). I was going to Dremel it out, but I only had one BH at the time and didn't want to jack it up.

Thanks guys!

Snakes looks pretty sweet with the sweater and new colors. I like the "v1" head more than the Ninja head though. Great job.

Now find me a Beachhead! :shifty:

Nice tweaks. Stuff I wouldn't even think to do but that works great.

I agree on the camo pants idea. That would a cool commano look for him.
