It's taken me a little while since I haven't been too happy with some of my past pictures and wanted to make a light box. However the light box still isn't done but these figures were and I wanted to take some pictures of them and get them up. I hope to have my website up soon but I don't have the amount of free time I used to.

I have Copperhead and Monkeywrench both done but I couldn't get good pictures of them today, since I use natural light and the light changed (another reason why I'll be switching to a light box). So I'll have some pictures of them up in the next few days...hopefully.

Okay don't judge me but in that closeup of the hoodless Snow Job he looks just like a bearded Pacey from Dawson's Creek!

Great work as always man! As a fan of the Snow Joes I'm loving Snow Job the most (Pacey face and all)

Those all look amazing. That Obi-Wan heads works really well as Snow Job.

I absolutely love that Psyche-Out!

Muskrat looks fantastic. I was like "Holy cow! He totally redid that torso."

Snow job. Maybe it is how cool the unhooded head looks, but I'm just not digging the hooded version. It looks ok but something isn't sitting right with me. Maybe because it lacks the bulk I would expect a hood to have. Otherwise this figure is top notch.

Nothing about your Road Block grabs my attention other than you made that head look good. Great paint on him too.

Psyche Out is my favorite. You really made him look respectable. The only thing I'd fix is that he looks like he is looking up and not straight. Other than that, it is a pure winner.

Muskrat is pretty cool. The head choice is spot on and the neck sculpting is flawless. No one would be able to tell is was sculpted. The paint (as always) is rockin'. the chest doesn't even look the same! Nice.

Roadblock is a solid custom. Pretty straight forward. I dig the camo vest.

Now the two standouts.....

Psych Out
Great parts choice. I hate that sniper head but I just didn't realize it's potential. The Mutt chest and arms are perfect. The use of both New sculpt and 25th Ani parts is great and a nice way to add some articulation.

Snow Job
This one is the best custom I've seen in a little while. The white is perfect. The gun isn't a solid, flawless white but looks natural. The sculpting on the hood is awesome. The sunglasses are just sick. The other nice thing is that both heads look alike. Pretty awesome.

It's always enjoyable seeing some pieces from you! Everything looks great.....I'm not feeling Road Blocks upper arms though......I would have stuck with a flesh tone and skipped the sleeves.....

Great customs!

all of them look really cool. At 1st I saw muskrat and thought awesome then I saw snowjob and was this is even better, he's my fav of the bunch. Psyche out is really cool too and I like the mix of 25th and new sculpt on him.
RB the paint is cool but I don't care for the upper body much on him but the lower parts look cool together, so in all a nice bunch of great customs again Dave,
Tim

Thanks for the comments everyone.

I'm glad so many of you dig SnowJob. When your a kid certain things stand out as cool, sometimes that can be simply because one guy looks different. SnowJob was dressed in all white, was the first artic trooper, had red hair and had cool gear. Plus he had the snowmobile which I thought was just too cool as a kid. I've seen his hood done big and I wanted to go for a smaller look. With all of the micro-fibers and what not we have in today's society it made sense to me that since GiJoe gets the top of the line in technology that he could have a smaller hood which would still keep him warm but fit more securely which would also help him out in the field. I had sculpted that Obi-Wan head about 5 years ago for an Ep II Obi-Wan. I hacked off the mullet that I had sculpted on and gave him more of a hair style to resemble his first appearance in the cartoon. I was surprised myself when I was looking for his hooded head how similiar the faces and beards looked so I decided to go with it. Oh and M.S. are you a Dawson's Creek fan? We won't tell anyone really ;-)

I agree with most of you concerning Roadblock. I like him but he was definatley one of my least favorites of the remaning 15 I've been working on finishing. For me my favorite look to him is his second version from '86 , but I also liked his other look that he had in the Dic cartoon. What I tried to do was incorporate all three looks of his (first figure and the two subsequent ones I mentioned) into one figure. I think overall it works but I have yet to find a look for Roadblock that just yells Roadblock to me. I do like it alot more then my first custom though. I think the problem with Roadblock is I really don't feel there has been a definative Roadblock "look" to come out yet. I haven't liked any of the Devil's Due styles and even his action figures don't really work for me either. I probably won't be coming back to do another Roadblock since this one fits overall with what I was going for though.

Muskrat was a bit more straight forward for me. Muskrat already looked cool and I love the original figure I just bascially copied his original look and put it on a modern frame. The hardest part of him was finding what head I wanted to use. I had the BBI head hanging around for awhile until I found someone I wanted to use it on. Then I just had to sculpt he neck which was actually kind of fun to do since it turned out so nicely. I also wanted his clothes to appear baggy, soiled, damp and wet since he is a swamp fighter. I figured his clothes are always going to be a bit more faded and beat up then the other guys due to his environment.

Psyche-Out was a challenge because I liked the idea of the Joes have a therapist on staff and it is an asset that I can see Hawk being fully aware of and using for his troops. He also looked pretty cool in the comic when Stalker, Quick Kick and Snow Job were released from that Soviet-inspired prision in the comics. I also like to take the more "out there" characters/figures and try to make them real world. Psyche-Out was my first attempt and I'm currently working on a Crystal Ball and Mirage. The trick with Psyche Out was to keep what was cool about him but toss what just didn't work for me. He lost his shiney silver chest plate and the red bands were replaced with brown. I kept a chest holster, as the original had. I also kept the cross-stitched flak-jacket and the grey long-sleeved undershirt. I had thought about doing some type of earphone device, as the original had, but decided I wanted to go for his original hair sculpt rather then the crew cut I was considering. Since I felt that Psyche-Out's longer hair and style set him slightly apart from the other figures released I decided I really wanted to keep that since that is one of his trademarks for me. Lastly I also wanted him to look lankier since he is not necessarily going to be in combat all that much and is more likely to be at the HQ, in his office, or in the command bunker on the battle field.

Should have Copperhead and Monkewrench up by Saturday.

Very impressive work as always!

Psyche-Out stands out the most to me as you took one of the goofier looking figures in the line and made a very real world take on him. Nice job :)
