For me, just creating the figures is only half the fun. The other enjoyable part is finding or making the accessories to help move the diostory along, or suspend disbelief in the diorama.

For Leon: Vest, elbow pads, relic "eyes" to be fitted into a stone puzzle to open doors, attache case with items from the game, TMP, his P.R.L (plagas removal laser) which is actually a Wing Commander Kilrathi weapon, knife, Los Illuminados gold key from the gashapon figure, red spinel, red catseye stone, two green "bugs eye" jewels, healing plant, stack of gold coins, rockey launcher, old style rifle, and the ubiquitous crow(seen all over the games and movies).

For Ada:

Crossbow weapon, TMP?, 9mm, com device to contact Albert Wesker, crossbow bolts, snake, paper airplane letter with kiss print, rifle, large plagas sample, two smaller vial plagas samples, and a composition book presumably from the researcher, Luis Sera.

Two types if infected heads. One I call "the squiddy", which is tentacles and the eye drooping off the side. The other is the long tentacle with teethlike barbs on the end that is whipped about to slice one to pieces.

Some supporting characters.
L to R:
Nick Cassini, intelligence gatherer(custom extraneous character, made from some very hard to work with BBi Elite Force figures..)
Ingrid Hunnigan, Leon's Support liaison and attache to the president.
Colonel Davenport(custom extraneous character, direct report to Ingrid Hunnigan and in charge of dispatching units to acertain the whereabouts of the President's daughter and Leon S. Kennedy.

The Colonel Davenport character reminded me of that actor you always see in movies with the white hair and mustache, who is a Vietnam veteran, and has been used as a military advisor to many films. Just can't think of his name. Well anyhoo, that was the look I was going for. Had a bunch of those Night Ops BBi Airforce chopper pilots heads left.

Yeah, what Destrin said...:shifty:

Seriously, that is some wicked detailing, Cap (I'm particularly impressed by the Plagas and the small detail of Ada's paper airplane.) Now for the three figures--Davenport I was looking forward to seeing (and he came out great) but it's Nick Cassini that floors me the most--the work you put into him is beyond awesome (he looks production quality in fact). The touches you added to Ingrid Hunnigan give her a much more impressive and coldly professional look. Very nice work again, Cap. :-)

Agreed. 8O
Seriously Cap, you need to cast a couple of them Plagas heads; I could use a handful & I bet others could too.

GREAT work Cap, any chance of getting a more indepth top pic? Those accessories are awesome. I really like the look of the Col. Davenport character - before I even read it I thought "that guy looks like Dale Dye" (I believe that's who you were saying as well). I would love to know how you made that head if you don't mind sharing.

Awesome work man.

Add another to the "Hey that's Dale Dye" list. I have RE4 for the Wii, never played any of the others before, but I had loads of fun. Great work as usual Cap.

Hey! Thanks for his name. I have done nothing really, because most of everything seen is just an accessory or part from something else. The only thing in the accessories I actually did any work on, were the plagas tubes, which started out as Mace Windu's lightsaber (thank you VL for the sacrifice!), and Ada's handheld, which started out as another type of handheld in the accessories you get with the BBi Elite Force figures.

The healing plant was just a trimmed piece of fishtank plastic greens, in a small round piece of cork. The relic pieces were actually the pieces of sprue from a figure that came with one of those folding dragons at WalMart. I saw the sprue and thought to myself, "Hmm, there is some use in this sprue, and set it aside for later thinking."

Davenport's head is just a simple repaint. I had a wealth of pilot heads left over from that Elite Force Airforce "Chopper Harris". I took my white acrylic ink, and just repainted all his hair white, and added the mustache. I liked the look and thought the head would sit well on the leftover Navy Seal body, since I stripped all the accessories off for Ada's gear.

Nice work, Ada and Leon looked good when you first posted them, but now you've added a heck of a supporting cast too. They're all top-notch customs, and the gear and plagas heads will make for some really wicked dio shots! Can't imagine casting those babies would be easy, but probably worth the effort :-D

Seriously, it'd be cool to see the characters together for some dio shots, and it'd be a shame if we didn't get to see your extra characters put to use. Any chance the creepy arms seller and those nut-zoid guys in the red robes and cow skulls will make an appearance? Having your El Gigante chew on a couple of those would be neat (note to self: stop obsessing over monsters chomping on other monsters...)

Oh yes, I definitely plan on using the gashapon figures in the dio. The merchants, the cowskull leaders, even the Verdugo, that "alien" like badass that Salazar called his "right hand". I even was able to fashion the disembodied head of the diminutive Salazar from an older samurai gashapon (it was Benkei, the wrapped headed monk), and thanks to DocRob, he sports the blue tricorn hat as he did in the game. I figured the remaining Los Illuminados found his head from the explosive destruction of his fight with Leon, and set it on a pedestal.

I was even able to make Luis Sera's head, which will be put on a pike with the words "triador" written with his blood on a wooden plaque.

Dang! That's going to be slick... and gory. Seems poor Luis should've kept a lower profile. What a way to go! Any chance for a Oct. 31 release of the dio shots?

Fantastic!

RE 4 is one of my favorite games of all time and you've nailed Leon in all his well-armed glory.

I'm anxious to see the dio shots when done.
