Another custom for a buddy....he will apply the decals upon receiving the item. For now...we got to use our imagination. I wanted to break up the red...so I went with a python pattern down the center. ![]() ![]() ![]() more pics: http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a358/ ... 0_2642.jpg http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a358/ ... 0_2645.jpg |

Yeah this is nice. Best thing Hasbro did was drop the price. There's a lot of cool customs out of that. I really like this one! |

As cool as that is in Crimson, it's even cooler with the Python stripe. Nice touch. |

That is great work. Looks just like it is from the store, or even better than that. |

Wow...I usually hate 'crimson customs' (most just seem to be direct repaints sloppily done with bad spray paint) but this one looks great! First off, the paint you used looks factory-quality. Second, that python stripe absolutely makes this vehicle. Excellent job. |

I'm really liking this Apoc. The stripe was brilliant! Darko- If you have never seen Apoc's work in person, you would not understand he is the master of the spray can. |

I can't really add anything to this thread. I'll just throw in a "times 10" to everything everyone else already said. Really cool! |

Delurking just to say two things: Excellent job, can we ask what type of paints (brand, spray paint, etc?) were used? AND: The red cab just proves someone needs to make an Optimus Prime out of one of these. |

Thanks for the feedback fellas!!! Glad it was well received...I wasn't sure at first how the pp stripe would look when done, but I knew all red was going to be way too plain and it needed to be broken up somehow. As for the paint used: Walmart Color Place brand Royal Red Walmart Color Place brand Gloss Black for the pattern (was done over the stock gray color) Krylon Matte Clear Coat I know alot of people love Krlyon Fusion (and I do at times also)...but I find the thinner walmart brand paint puts a nice clean finish on also. It takes a couple of coats to do so...but as the can states: several light coats produces the best finish. |
