Here is something everyone will be doing, if not done already. I was going to paint the ordinance a dark grey, but it grew on me as is. All I think it needs is some decal love.

Here we have my 25th WW. I'm not purely sold as it being straight up WW, mabey a protegee? I was not sure about the gloves or blaster, but they grew on me. I really liked how the helmet turned out, and if I do do another WW, I will keep this one as is. I'm curious about what you guys think, any pointers will probally be worked into the second version. Lastly, the face is hard to see but its there.

Very cool, gives me something to do with some of my extra CCs. Hopefully I can find an A-10 at Big Lots.

Did you sculpt on the straps for the shoulder harness? He looks great, wouldn't have thought of using Cobra Commander for Weasel.

Yep, I used green stuff to sculpt the straps, buckles, and extra front pocket. The head is a modded iron grenadire. The helmet a steel brigade cast I got from Darko I believe. Yeah, the more I looked at the commander the more I thought it worked, I sanded off the wires stuff on his back, but will probally remove the blaster holster on the next one. Also, I will probally make a double pocket instead of a single on the chest to make it more like the ARAH version. Like I said I think it works as is for a WW protegee moreso than the WW. Thats where I could use some thoughts, does this work as WW for you guys? Or more of a new WW? My biggest question is would you buy this set if Hasbro released it?

This one works like a charm as WW. I don't see why it should be 100% like the 1984 version, when there are slight differences in some of the other 25th figures. But one thing you could include is the map and notebook on his thighs, that always made him stand out in my eyes.

But am I missing something? What did you use to make the Rattler? Looks simple, but good. Throw some decals on it and I would probably like it better than the original.

I agree with the notepad, I'm tossing the idea of just putting one on the right leg, still trying to work this out in my head. As for the Rattler MKII, it's a simple repaint of the A-10 found at Big Lots. I nixed the decals I usually make after seeing Apoc show off some of the vinyl ones he procured at the PA meet. I was thinking they would be perfect for this project. I've seen everyone say they were going to do this repaint, but have yet to see one posted, so I did the set up.

*mental note: need Apoc to post linky for decal sheet purchases.*

I have never been a big fan of the planes but I think if I had the choice of the original and this masterpiece would be a no brainer
Great job man

That is a great 25A Wild Weasel. Nice use of the CC body.

I'd like to see the Rattler with some details or decals, it looks too sparse right now.

It looks great...and I would definately buy it!!

Nice touch with the map...that makes him "pop" even more!!

Linky for decals: http://www.gijoeheaven.com/catalog.asp? ... goryID=%37

Andrew at GIJoe Heaven is a good guy...and does take special requests for custom sheets.

That jet is gonna look even better with decals on it, great job!!

Hmmm.... He does not have a Rattler set, but I think the Firebat one would work in red.
Thanks for the linky, I could not remember where you got those. :)
I may make a set to slap on until I can find out if he can make me some in red. I'm planning on making 2 more with this being my prototype. The other two will have WW styled pilots named Ferret and Mongoose. WW will be the squad leader.

Its the new PTE A-10 Warthog. Its released in gray and he painted it Blue. MauraderJohn WAS going to have a Blue A-10 exclusive to Maurader Inc but it was TOO expensive of an endevour to take.

DW I'd paint one or two in a dark Blue as Air Vipers. But I do also like the idea of em being named characters as well though.
You could get the Testors Decal set at Home Depot and then go to YoJoe and save the Rattler decal images to your computer and then print the decal images onto the Testors Decal paper.

Looks good. I personally passed on buying the A-10 just because how massive it is.

Looks good, pretty much what Marauder John was going to have. I don't really like it as a Rattler though. The key feature to the Rattler for me is the verticle take off ability. Without that it's just a "captured A-10" that would be better as another Cobra plane. Really great job on Wild Weasel though. He looks great.
