Another of my favourite Joes, and one who was very much neglected in the Marvel run apart from a few brief appearences. I always liked Spirit's laid back, no-nonsense manner. Most people seem to go with the Devil's Due version these days, but wanting to be different (substitute 'an awkward bugger' if you like :-D), I decided to go with the version 1.

I did think of using a different head, but I sculpted the hair onto Duke as an experiment and liked what I saw, especially when I added the darker flesh tone and black to the hair.

Entire figure: 25th Anniversary Duke

VERY Nice!!! I thought about going the V1 route with mine, but didn't think I could pull it off without making him look awkward -- you managed to do it, though. Nice head choice as well - never would have occurred to me.

I love how this turned out!

That head does have quite a Native American look to it, painted as you have it at least. This figure looks very much like the original, which I suppose is the point of the 25A figs to begin with, so, well done.

Thanks. This is one custom I have wanted to do since i started customising, but I couldnever find the figure I could use right. When I saw the 25th Duke figure, I knew I had him. This figure was a lot of fun to make, and all the more satisfying to look at when finished.
