Re: New additions to the team

"As for Robert F. Skelton. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend him as an addition to the Joe team. There is no doubt in my mind that Mr. Skelton has the raw skills necessary. As a heavy machine gunner, he would give Roadblock a run for his money. It's his mind that has me worried. As you can see from the attached psych evaluation, I'm not the only one thinking this way. Two incidents stand out in my mind. One was during hand-to-hand combat training. The man is a bear, so we pitted him against the only other candidate in his weight class. Hasle was his name. Everything was going pretty standard, until Skelton got the upper hand. He started beating Hasle. I don't mean fighting, I mean beating. Hasle tapped out, but Skelton wouldn't stop. He just kept hitting him, again and again. All the while he had this huge smile on his face, that just kept getting bigger and bigger every time he punched. It took me and two of the other trainers to pull him off of Hasle. The next incident was on the weapons range. Skelton is an amazing shot. Hell, he handles a Ma Duce like Lowlight handles a sniper rifle. So he hit his target right away. But then he wouldn't stop shooting. We were all yelling for him to cease fire. And it didn't even seem like he was being defiant...it was more like...like he was in his own world. It is my recommendation that Robert F. Skelton not be considered as a member of the GI Joe team, on the grounds that I fear he would be a danger to his teammates."

Excerpt from psychological profile
Subject: Robert Skelton
Examiner: Kenneth "Psych Out" Rich

"....cognitively, there is nothing wrong with Mr. Skelton. Quite the contrary, he exhibits above average intelligence and reasoning skills. He is thoughtful, and seemingly well-read. His aggression levels are off the chart, however. Several times during our sessions, Mr. Skelton threatened physical violence as a response to a personal question, requiring sedation more than once. The man is a text-book sociopath, exhibiting absolutely no remorse for his actions. I asked him about his feelings regarding his merciless beating of a Mr. David Hasel. After several questions garnered no response, I asked Mr. Skelton if he felt what he had done to Mr. Hasel was right...if he thought it was good. He responded by quoting Friedrich Nietzsche: "What is good? All that heightens the feeling of power, the will to power, power itself in man."

-----------------------------------------------------------
From the Log of General Crowther, acting Command and Chief of the United States Military

"The GI Joe team, or what's left of it, continues to disappoint me. Even with the advanced technology provided to them by our Shadow Government, they have made little headway in reclaiming our great country from the forces of Serpentor. As such, I feel it necessary to begin augmenting the team with some of my own recruits. First and foremost will be a man named Robert F. Skelton, who has taken the code-name Heavy Duty. General Hawk once passed over this talented young man due to his, shall we say, overly aggressive behaviors. But times have changed, and General Hawk is no longer with us. I can only imagine that, in his last moments, as he was being executed on the White House lawn by Serpentor himself, he realized that winning a war has nothing to do with playing nice."

(just a little note for anyone who didn't read the DD run of the comics....Robert Skelton is the name given to the infamous SAW Viper from the marvel run)

......and now the part you actually came for, the pictures!

Yeah, I like this one a lot! Looks really professional. I'd forgotten how cool your alternate 'verse was - makes for some great characterization.

So how tall is he compared to "regular" Joes?

Very cool Darko. Excellent combo of SHS parts. Did they go together without much modding? And I too would like to see some pics of him next to normal Joes.

RF... We talkin' Randal Flagg?

Wow, I would never expect SHS parts to come out looking that good. Excellent mods on the head, too.

I love the textured look of the skin. Skin looks too shiny for mew most of the time. I'd straight up buy this figure.

Thanks for the feedback...the SHS parts actually fit together with very little modification. I was quite surprised. And yeah, the RF is a Randall Flagg refference...the SAW Viper always struck me as the most evil person in the Joe-universe.

Here's a shot with some other figures for scale:
