New Republic Rangers, or "Black Berets" (despite the fact that they do not always wear their berets on the battlefield instead opting for the more traditional helmets of the New Republic forces) are highly trained soldiers that operate at their best when unsupervised and behind enemy lines as they fight even dirtier than their enemies (a fact the New Republic Government is not happy about). While often pulled from the New Republic Marines, Black Berets can come from any branch of the military. Black Berets do not have a standard uniform, often wearing a variation of the standard New Repulic Army uniform to better blend in with regular troops on the battlefield.
