From the personal files of Mindbender, Supreme Scientific Authority of The Brotherhood Of The Serpent: BAT-V1 is a one of a kind, highly modified protocol droid built off of a LOM-series chasis comissioned by Cobra himself. BAT-V1's primary reason for existance is as a translator for when Cobra has to deal with any of the lesser races of the universe as most of those savages don't have the intellectual capacity to learn Basic like the civilized races. I personaly programmed BAT-V1 with over 9 million forms of communication. BAT-V1 utilizes some advanced technology of my own quite brilliant design including an arm-mounted holoprojector which can also project a hard-light forcefield in addition to standard holograms and a miniaturized matter transmitter that cost nearly as much as the entire M.A.M.B.A. program to develop. It is this matter transmitter that allows BAT-V1 to perform his secondary function as an assassin/bodyguard. Often, when Cobra is meeting with the lesser races, some of their delegates' personnell are required to meet premature ends in order to sway their organizations to the see things from the Brotherhood's point of view. BAT-V1 is able to hide in plain sight and strike without warning as soon as an opportunity arises. The matter transmitter can break down BAT-V1's manipulator hand into digital information, storing it in a protected memory core in it's back-mounted housing and replace it with one of 3 preprogrammed weapons mounts. The weapons mounts are stored as digital information in the memory core until needed and return to the core after the deed is done, replaced by the standard manipulator hand. The three preprogramed weapons mounts are as follows. A heavy duty claw for crushing skulls or windpipes, a vibroblade for stabbing and slashing attacks, and a prototype M.A.R.S. Tri-Blaster. The Tri-Blaster contains a blaster carbine (top barrel), a micro-grenade launcher with a 4 round magazine (middle barrel), and a short range flame projector with enough fuel for a 2 minute continuous burn (bottom barrel). Due to the high cost of the BAT-V1 unit, there is only one in existance. It is a work of pure genius, which is only to be expected as I built it... That's frickin' awesome! Not to mention the fact that it would fit seemlessly into a regular Joeverse as well. Great job! |

The paintwork, sculpting, and mods are all top notch. My issue comes from the use of the 4-Lom body, which is basically C-3PO appearance wise. This is only a problem because 3PO was so stiff, it just doesn't seem practical for a combat droid. But that's just my personal foible. Good work man. |

As described in it's bio, it's not really a combat droid, it's a protocol droid (like C3-PO) that is outfitted with interchangeable weapons for assassinations. No one ever even notices protocol droids as they are everywhere so it's a killer hiding in plain sight ![]() Other than that, I'm glad you like it ![]() |

This is great! You and AV always find a way to work the universes together. Great figure and well-thoughtout bio. |

I love this idea. A protocol droid BAT would be something I'd see Cobra using. Something a Crimson Guard might have so it could just hang out while he's in his civilian disguise but can then kill his enemies. I love the look of this one. |
