Ok, here's the new element of the hobby that I am experimenting with. Sorry the pics aren't great, but I didn't have time to reset my camera, which is currently rigged for outdoor pics.
The credit for all of this goes to Marauder John for the parts, but also to Tr1er and Sergeant Wallace A. Weems for the ideas that I stole from them. But that will become obvious as we go on.
First, came the modular M4 from marauder with it's stock 1mm connectors. I thought to myself, why stop there? Why not pick up a tiny drill bit and go to town on all sorts of weapons. So, after a few attempts, I finally ended up with a decent .9 mm drill head that let me go to town on some broken and hated weapons, to see what marauder could do with them.
First, a hated weapon: Big Ben's rifle. I have a LOT of these.
Actually this is the one that I am most impressed with. It's the stock BB rifle with the carry handle removed, a M4 night scope, silencer, and laser handle drilled in, all mounted on a 2000 heavy duty 50 Cal tripod.

Next is the stock Ak with bayonet that came with a lot of cobras since spy troops. I didn't like the look of the rifle at all, and again, have a lot of them. I just added a Night Scope to it.

This is one of my faves to start with - but a broken one. Outback gun, but missing the strap. It had a nice big surface on the underside for me to test drill some holes. I mounted the M203 under it, for a nice, and pretty deadly looking over under combo.

Last but not least isn't really my mod at all, but a TR1ER gun that I got from Sergeant Wallace A. Weems who couldn't stop singing the praises of TR's work. He was right. All I could do to inprove this one is add the Marauder generic silencer to it.

Last of all is a little look into my display cabinet. If you haven't seen Sergeant Wallace A. Weems armory, I suggest that you track down some pics of it. It's flat out awesome. So awesome, that I had to do one up of my own, complete with the "gun wall"
tm to hang my new creations in.

It's currently WIP, but as it gets closer to completion (It'll never be completely "finsihed") I'll post some more pics. The pin head "gun holders" are getting a coat of grey paint to match the back wall and I'll be adding some tools, filling the shelves and of course, displaying more guns.
This is an awesome new aspect of the hobby, and cheap to boot. The drill bit costs less than $2 at a hobby store and fits into a standard decent quality Xacto handle. The pieces from Marauder range up to .25 cents. I just put a big order in for them.
Not every gun can be modified, and I've run into a few snags (like putting a night scope into the carry handle of the comic pack M16 for Stalker...) But it's really satisfying, sepecially when you can make something that you don't especially like, int a gun that figuratively blows you away.
