I love the look of the 25th Night Watch set. The black w/ blue camo really makes them look menacing. But the weapons, like most factory weapons, just feel toy-like. So I went to our reliable gun runner, Marauder Inc. and upgraded these guys.
The Night Watch Commander gets a Marauder shotgun (w/ 2 sets of extra shells) and an AK-74 w/ grenade launcher. I originally went with the AK-74 short commando version but the bigger rifle just looked better.
The Night Watch explosives guy gets a Marauder grenade launcher and AK-74 w/ grenade launcher.
The Night Watch laser trooper is carrying the only factory weapon I kept for these guys. The laser pack got an upgrade though with a flexible hose/cable that I rigged using some accessory hose from Smalljoes. He also carries a commando version of the AK-74.
The Night Watch machine gunner gets the Marauder SAW because the Roadblock machine gun he came with just doesn't fit with how these guys operate in my verse. And he carries a commando AK-74 as a backup.
The Night Watch sniper gets the Marauder Dragonov w/ bipod and looks great with it I think. The commando AK-74 is his back up weapon.
I think I'm going to swap out the bayonets for Marauder combat knives. The bayonets work fine for regular troops but these guys are special ops soldiers and a combat knife would suit them better.
Whaddaya think of my choices?
