Well, I guess this counts as a custom. Second biggest I've done, with the BTTF Time Machine on-going project as the first.

This is a 6'4 mannequin (Mannequin Skywalker indeed!), purchased from eBay for $100. He has his arms folded behind his back. I do with his arms were in front so I could display his lightsaber, but maybe I'll try again.

Anyway, hereeeeeeeeeees Darth!

I had to cut his boot to get the bar that stands him up connected to his leg. The shin guard does a pretty good job of hiding in though.

Next life size project? Probably Fett and a Stormtrooper. Hey, maybe a Baroness?

Somehow he seems less imposing in the pics without the helmet, cape, and chest armor.

You are correct sir! It was about halfway thru that I figured I should be documenting the project.

Wait, you made the costume yourself and bought just the mannequin.

As Vader would say "Impressive. Most impressive."

Ummm, not exactly. I paid the small fortune for a totally authentic suit, then another $50 for the boots. It'll be on display in my home theatre and I'll wear it for Halloween.

Looks good. I like that you have him standing next to the door. Have you thought about sound chipping him so that he greets people as they come in?

Hehe, no. The big ass box that the mannequin came in was so big, I didn't feel like lugging it up to the stairs to the home theatre, Darths final resting place.

So I popped open the box in the foyer and put him together right then and there. Hence the packing peanuts all over the floor. All his lights light up and he does breathe like a perv on the telepone though.

He will end up on display in the home theatre and will double as a Halloween costume.

That is VERY impressive. Who wouldn't love to have their own Vader?

That's cool! I've always wanted a Fett, but no way I want to pay the money for it.

Now I keep wonder how long before someone visits realdoll.com and gets a full sized Scarlett made, haha.

I've wanted a Real doll for about 6 years now. Just don't have the nerve to actually buy one. But I came close several times.

Very cool, the unmasked picture reminds me of something from Doctor Who. And you should probably never let me near a life-sized Baroness. Or at the least, never let me be alone with it... :shifty:

Man, if I was your neighbour, I'd giggle like a school girl on helium whenever another delivery came to your door. "Look at the size of that box. He could fit Darth Vader in there! Time to ask John to borrow another cup of sugar".

:darthvader: [to the pizza delivery guy]: "I find your lack of change disturbing!"

or:
"Barbacue pizza? I hate barbacue pizza. I had...hoo-hah...a bad experience at a...hoo-hah...barbacue once."

It could be fun to program Vader with different sayings that could be cued up by a key change thingie so you can react to different vistors.

Those people that always come to your door in twos and want to discuss 'eternal life' with you? The cable repairman? Etc...

Or you could just put different pieces of clothing on him for each holiday. A santa cap for Christmas, a green bowler for St. Patrick's Day, or a Sombrero for Mexican Independance DAy.

Or go with the sports team theme: scarf, hat, beer helmet, gloves, pennant, etc (although I suspect Vader might be a Raiders fan)
