for the past week i have been working on a steampunk costume. my son had these 2 guns that i took the paint to. i thought they turned out pretty cool and wanted to see what everyone else thought. yea yea yea, i know its not joe related, but customizing joes helped me customize these. so tell me what ya think;

Image

these are the 2 finished guns. the little lantern on the top gun is the 'tac light' i have a small led blue light that will go into it, i just have to get copper tubing do i can run the thumb switch up the the trigger.

Image

this is the gun without the 'tac light' on it.

and this is the 'nade i also made. it will have a corked top with a fuse coming out of it.

Image

and this is the gun i finished last night. im not to happy with it but it will do

That nerf revolver gets a lto of use in the Steampunk world. I like the addition of the "tac light". I did something similar for the Steampunk GP. I put a lantern on the bottom this guy's misslile launcher for the same purpose. http://www.joecustoms.com/customs/custo ... =halestorm

The second gun looks very cool. Nothing to be ashamed about there. Sort of a futurisitc pirate pistol. It works perfectly. I evne like the added bladed handle.

The grenade is a neat idea. Again, back to the Steampunk GP, I was going to add a couple of barrel grenades for some kind of grenade launcher instead of the missiles before changing my mind. Then they almost became strapped on grenades similar to what you're talking about with the fuses and everything. I ditched the idea but it is still a very cool concept that I'm glad someone else was able to think of and utiilize. I think it fits the genre and will look great.

I have a ton of nerf guns I bought on the cheap to convert for display, I'm curious, did you have to disassemble them and if so, do they still function?

I need to fix my auto firing blaster, its on the fritz, lol.

Good stuff.

these are beautiful, and you should make a wall plaque to mount them on. and then mount them on your wall.

What he said, only with a little more love and a little more Han Solo instead of Flash Gordon.
