Nice job. Helicopters are great to customize.

I've finally updated my Duke to fit in with my evolving collection display. I reused the Blowtorch head and Beachhead legs from my previous custom. A Kwinn torso and Marauder Gun-Runners arms finish it off.

Love that Blowtorch head - it was the best piece of fodder to come out of the JvC era. Used it for quite a few customs back in the day.

I reeeeeaaaaaallllly wanted to use the Ready Player One torso, so I experimented and adapted the hips for GI Joe legs. I had the leg combo in the parts bin on an oring fig for a Zanya update and swapped them in here. The head is some scalped Marvel head I picked up in a parts lot. I put a Spytroops Zarana hairpiece on it and over the next few months, used leftover green stuff to build up the dreads, one at a time.

The Cold Slither World Tour shirt is a design my wife came up with for my Joefest shirt this year. I put the design on waterslide decal paper along with some tatts.

The evolution of Zanya in my collection starting with two Sharkbait customs, my "Springfield Underground" version, and now my latest Ruby Soho version.

General Philip Rey gets a new construction update and back in comic colors. I used a Marauder figure with a Marauder WWII German waist swapped in. The chest armor is trimmed from Matt Trakker. The head was used on my original Phoenix Guard Rey that was from the oring comic pack Duke.

that's a wild combo i don't think i've seen before. lots of dystopian type soldiers or "iron" troops would look good in that style. i like the old custom too.

Gung-Ho is finally done to complete the update to my Slaughter's Marauders team.. I really wanted to just repaint the last Gung-ho release from the two pack but I couldn't find one cheap. I started brainstorming and decided I would rather base mine off of the V3 figure anyway and started looking for the perfect base. Oddly enough my mom stumbled across a pile of retro Destros for 5 bucks and bought me one. I eventually sculpted over more of the torso than I intended but the body gave me the big build I was looking for. Movie Roadblock got a bushy stache and a chin job. The lower arms were swapped and the legs went through several changes before settling on the Roadblock/Crossbones combo.

The backpack and straps are Marauder Inc as well as the knife and bandana, which is glued on. I added a peg to one side of the pack to hold the grenade launcher. The bazooka is my homage to V3 and his missile launcher. I trimmed the dividers from the gun case and the bazooka fit nicely. I believe the SAW came with the DTC SAW Viper.

Beside my original newsculpt custom.

The original kit bashing.

Image

Prepaint, I originally tried to turn the Marauder hat into a USMC hat but removed it after the first coat of paint.

Image

And a group shot of the whole squad. The Marauders are the first in team and the problem solvers to many problems that are never known to the general public.
