Thing 1

I have a growing pile of headless animal figures. I didn’t want to waste the bodies so I’ve started making Things.

I plan to keep making them so long as I have ZombieViper arms.

Here’s the first.

thing is right up my alley!

rooster is a lot of fun. nice use of the ff bit for a backpack/jetpack. that weird joe gun is perfect too. what is his body. halo mega? it looks better than most from that line. if it is did you cover a bunch of ugly joints?

i really loved the buff before. the nose armor will take some getting use to. it doesn't look bad, but just disrupts the great lines of his face. if you could trim it along each edge, at that seam line it might be the best of both. i know you said it was to match the og figure and i dig that. i'll look him up and might change my mind :)

the bat is unsuspected and fun too. is that just a painted figure or a build?

I knew if anyone would dig the Thing it'd be you :D

The Rooster body is a Mega HALO figure. I didn't do any mods, just painted it. The joints were fine on it.

I hear you on the nose armor. On the OG figure there is a little armor panel on the forehead. I tried putting the piece there and it just looked silly, honestly it looks kinda silly on the OG figure too. So I moved it down and it sat better. It definitely looked better in hand, the pics make it look odd.

The bat was a static figure that I added HALO bits to front and back.

I have one more Thing primed and ready for paint and another Battle Beast that is 99% complete, it just needs accessories. Also I'm trying to get some figures done for a commission. I'm hoping to get 3 near-complete tonight. Going to be a busy night, fingers crossed I get stuff done and pics posted.

Always love the battle beasts and that's a great use of the leftover bodies.

That is one crazy innovative and fun way to use every part of the proverbial kill.

Love it!

Thanks to DanOfTheDead I had to make a ManB.A.T. The dastardly combination of a Mandroid and a Cobra BAT.

There’s still a bit to do clean up wise and I may do the line pen on the gray areas and add a few more detail paint apps but it’s 90% done.

Digging the ManB.A.T. (almost looks like it could be Batman armor), but LOVING "The Thing" vibe of your latest animonstrosity.

Thanks! I have another Thing on my desk waiting for paint. I'm trying to find more ZombieViper arms to keep making more.

If the Final Faction Synthoid Evolution set was showing up more regularly I'd suggest a few of them would give you a steady supply of tentacles.

Oh the next Thing utilizes those tentacles as well, cause I’m running out of ZV arms.
