bt - great to see you on here again. and thanks for the comments. I don't make as many customs as I used to, but I think the extra time I spend on each benefits from that.

Ok also - working on an improved Nightwing. Even the one posted recently I wasn't thrilled with. Finally found I head I like for him, and have also changed out the arms. The Zartan arms were too skinny anyway, but especially so with this slightly larger head. I still need to touch up the paints, and will swap out the hands for more useful ones.

As pluv knows, I have been struggling with the right look for Nightwing for awhile. There just aren't many heads out there that get the hair right. Previously I had been using a winter soldier head for more of the long haired look, but then the unmasked version (which I always do) involved me shaving off the mask and the result was kind of elephant-man-esque. I tried a buzz cut Laser Force guy most recently, with removable goggles, but it didn't really look like Dick.

So I was browsing the Schleich section in a store the other day when it hit me. I was already using the Schleich Batman head for my Bats...right next to him on the shelf - Schleich Superman. Luckily without the trademark S curl. Just normal hair... kind of like Nightwing. So that's what this is. The mask is just painted on, and I also grabbed a second one for unmasked and/or Agent Grayson customs.
