Those are both well done. Good call on the Clutch head for Frostbite!

These are both great, but I'm actually likin' that Steeler more than Frostbite (still says Clutch to me...but that's me).

Quote:
teeler is solid but I'm just not sold on that head. For some reason I see him as pretty clean cut and the stubble doesn't work for me hear.

See, I think of Steeler as looking a lot like this. I mean the guy drives and works (wait, he's an officer so maybe not works :shifty: ) on tanks...why wouldn't he look a little gruff? Now I'm going to have to buy that damn three pack. Oh well. Again, nice job on these, Spin. Home run with both.

Thanks again for all the kind words, guys.

And, Doc, you've convinced me. I'm keeping that head for Steeler.

In fact, thanks to ThMick, I finally got a belt to finish him up.

Here's a couple of updated pix.

Still looking for a Han Solo/General McQuarrie hat to top off the Frostbite.

Once I find one, I'll post a final pic of him as well.

Frostbite is perfect. He now looks more seriously than the original v1 with that smile on his face. Nice!

I'm really feeling that Frostbite. Great work, perfect head for that figure.
Sadly, I have never been that excited over Steelers helmet/visor, and I'd had wished for a more original take on his accessories. That being said, the rest of the figure is high quality.

I'm using the same head for my Steeler, I think that the 5 o'clock shadow really fits the blue collar rebel. But I'm using the command pack Hawk body instead because of the collared shirt. I'm jealous of your range finder and working holster though, haha. I like him a lot more than what Hasbro is putting out.
Your Frostbite is really slick too, I'm really looking forward to you getting his hat so you can finish him.

I do not have a Gen. McQuarrie hat, but would a Mara Jade comic pack keffiyeh headdress work? It's got the goggles and actually covers the throat.

Nice looking customs.
Might have missed this, but did you cut an original range finder and glue it to one of the new visors? I was trying an original on one of the new helmets and it wouldn't fit, so I wound up grafting it to a visor for my Steeler. Mine wound up a bit too thick and bulky, whereas yours looks a bit more streamlined. Just wondering what your trick was.

Actually, no. That's a straight up old school accessory attached to the new helmet. I boiled and bent it to make it fit a bit better and the paint actually did the rest, slightfully expanding the overall size of the accessory...just enough to make it raise and lower without slipping.

A very generous offer (especially on top of the belt you sent me for Steeler -- thanks again for that), but I think I found a workaround for the hat.

I had an old POTF Luke figure on hand and some time to play with it and my dremel today.

Here's how it turned out:

I'll be dipped. I figured it was too pliable for boiling to make it hold shape. Wish I would've tried that before sacrificing a visor.
