Ya I used to use that kind of stuff in my drawings. I got them from my brother who did a grip of work with them. I haven't thought of those in years. Cool, seems to me that a majority of the a typical art shops have went the way of the mom and pop stores. grumble :-/ ... But I think I have a local one here that might work. Thanks Doc!

You're welcome. :-)

Yeah, most of the local hobby shops here closed down in the last 10 years or so; the Main Hobby Shop used to be a great source for stuff, but they literally got slammed with Michael's at one end of the road and AC Moore almost directly across from them. It cut heavily into the craft stuff they sold and hurt them on things like craft and model paints (they were far pricier), and in the end the owner just decided to close shop and retire. Kind of miss the place, he had some terrific model train and model kit layouts.

Doc Rob,

Great paint job on the Carrodock Evolar.

What type of paint did you use to paint the flesh. I've been looking for that particular color for a while? What company make it?

Thanks!

The flesh is Delta Ceramcote Dark Flesh. Provides a pretty good "tanned" look with a slight sheen, and is the base for a lot of my custom flesh tone mixes (usually combined with Apple Barrel Medium Flesh or Flesh tone.) Most times too, I add a drop of water (1:1 ratio paint-to-water) mixed in to help give it a smoother look as well.
