It's been a long time coming. We started it in the place we were in about 10 years and 5 houses ago. Setting it up is also a pretty welcome diversion these days.

It looks great, my wife finally asked me just how much stuff I had and I replied to her “that’s not really important “

Standing height work table assembled. Going to be a little more rearranging and sorting, but I've set up enough to start pulling out projects and start working.

Yay!

How wide is that room? Dimensions?

I thought it was wider in the other pics.

It is bigger than it looks in those pictures. It's about 27"x27". I've divided it with metal shelves so in those last two pictures you're just seeing the work shop half, what looks like a wall on the right side in the top picture is shelving. The other half has my "office" area and my actual collection all boxed up.

The work table has just enough room to work around it, and actually a lot of storage area underneath. As I continue to figure out the rest of the garage that might move.

When you say move do you mean relocate or like a tiny house the table will trasnform into a bookshelf/ladder/play pen?

Relocate. But I like all of those ideas.

Especially given how claustrophobic the last couple months have been, I'm envious of the space you can devote to your craft.

I feel extremely lucky we got moved over before things got weird. Having the studio to work on has been a nice thing to focus on. I would not be coping very well if we were stuck in the old place living out of boxes.

While working on bigger projects I came across some Angry Birds Star Wars parts I got at the thrift store for almost nothing, and wanted to do a quick project just to "finish" something.

up

Just lined them up and did some light sanding so the glue would hold better. I cut up the gray T shapes to layer them.

Super simple, but I actually finished something.

Of course, now I want to paint it... And make a removable door out of styrene..

It's inspired by the Tall Man form from the movie, but not a straight translation. This sat on the shelf for a long time before I figure out a set of bare legs that worked right. Pretty happy with the results, SUPER happy to have finished and posted a figured for the first time in a WHILE.
