Wow - I'm really flattered by all the positive feedback, both here, and by the folks who got to play with the unpainted figure at the Con. Thanks guys! -
I didn't know if it was ok to pimp it here or not, would it be ok to put this up in the Joe section?
Yeah, it's a cast of custom I made. I wanted to make a figure that would be made available for others to have, but I was kinda torn because it is my philosophy that as soon as money is involved with a hobby, it fast loses the fun. So I had a think, decided a BAF concept would be great way to keep everyone happy, then bashed the figure together. I think it's just one of those fluke things, because the whole figure is complete fodder. There was about half an hour invested in dremeling/ resculpting the parts and that's about it. What is really cool about this (again - total fluke) is the range/ fit of all the joints. The head can bend forward at about a 75 degree angle (as can be seen in the pic of him looking down at the brain), the shoulder balls are wide enough so that the jacket doesn't limit the arm articulation, and the legs fit the waist perfectly.
If it's ok to put a post up in the main section, and there is enough positive feedback, I might see if I can lower the price on it. (Dave (Viper) - we'll sort you out as well!).
If the BAF is popular enough and we get enough out, we may release the complete figure to buy after a year or so, but this time a glow in the dark variant. (Sorry, I just love glow in the dark or clear figures!)
Here's a pic of what you get (unpainted) -

Hey, did you ever play games-workshop? Your painting reminds me of that game for some reason, only much much cooler.
Narc - you're bang on the money!!! I had been painting GW stuff since I was about 10, and though I hate GW now for their detestable greed, I owe a lot to the guys who began the company (GW was founded about 2 miles from me, and I know - well, knew - the few guys who began it all). To hang with the best painters at such a tiny scale in the world is obviously gonna up your skills.

At one time I even held seminars around the U.K. for GW.
