Dude... these are all solid. Nicely done! I had toyed with the idea of modding my extra Gung Ho vest to see if it would work on Cover Girl, but yours came out just fine without the 'jacket' look. Very cool, man.

I used a comic-pack Scarlett head for my VvV Jinx, so I might try modding that onto a 25A body. But I love the idea of a DD head/Scarlett ponytail for a Cobra custom!

Huh? Ok... Good to know... (?) :chiefty:

You're not the only Lance around here, you know..... There are people actually born with that name.

And thanks for the comments! :D

Understood. How about taking the hair piece off of Baroness then and putting it on the Scarlett head? I was thinking this would work for a decent CoverGirl if the hair was painted, but might work for a loose haired Jinx?

If your like me and looking for a vest/coat for CG... I was thinking of using the SHS Logan's coat and giving it a light to medium brown wash/paint. I think that would look awsome over the LJ torso.

Just another Lance's 2c.

I've got a Luke Skywalker "ceremonial" yellow jacket from the Leia 2-pack that works really well on CG (too damn yellow, though - I may dye it later.) I also have a Lil' Bratz leather coat that looks pretty good, if a bit long.

I think comic pack Scarlett's head is going to be the one for my Jinx - I was messing around this morning and added a lighter skin tone and worked on her eyes a bit and I think I might have it figured out soon (and I've got like 8 of them to use, so if I jack up one or two it's not a crisis). Just gotta make the appropriate mods to the Scarlett body (shorten the legs, change out the hands & feet), or I may end up using a Microman or Baroness body for her instead.

Thanks for the tips!

Have you tried a Chun Li head? I have had some great success modding that head, and I love the simplicity of the face.

Before John did me the mondo favoro, this was going to be the Ada head I had planned:

Thanks Cap - the Chun-Li head is just too big and a little too plain for me (and I don't like working with the hard plastic of the older stuff.) And, I don't have any on hand, and I've made a promise to myself to use up the fodder I have here at home, since I have so dang much.

Here's the CP Scarlett head so far - I still need to touch up the eyes a bit more and add eyebrows and then find a good 25A-style body for her:

Here ya go:

Image

I decided to give her a more urban look. The Ninja costumes just don't really do it for me (and I couldn't find one of the arms to my Microman Catwoman ;) ) and the Baroness' collar really looked good once I got the red paint on there, so despite being a pretty radical re-interpretation, I'm happy with her. She is supposed to be an Intel person, so she should be able to look halfway normal (despite the armored chest plate and shin guards :P)

Oh, and Courtney is still just a grease monkey in my 'verse (a really HOT grease monkey). I thought DDP really hosed up by making her an Intel person too -- there are already 3 chicks in the Joe intel section - you don't need to make ALL of them spooks. It's ok for a female Joe to have a REAL job ;)

Jinx recipe:
Comic Scarlett head
25A Baroness upper body & lower legs (painting flesh tones on her black gloves is a [LASER BLAST], BTW)
25A Scarlett thighs
Vintage Endor Leia feet.

I think that Jinx is awesome. Very nice work. I'm still tempted to try to pop some 25th apart and customize some. If only I could find more than one of each character.
when you crack these open, where exactly do they come apart at?
you seem to be the master at this Chief. :-)

Thanks!

I honestly haven't popped open any figs except a Roadblock torso that I used for my Rock & Roll. And that was before we got the "wooden block & rubber mallet" tutorial from the 'con (so mine has a nice gouge in his armpit :P ) And I haven't tried that method yet - I just swap out legs and that's about it. And even they're hard to pry out sometimes (especially on the female figs.)

Lady Jaye is perfect. Absolutely perfection. Scarlett does look better with the Padme face. And Jinx loses 20 cool points for not being masked and wearing a red ninja outfit. :D

Thanks!

Troy - to answer your question, I sleep plenty - I just never work - I was taking today off because I worked yesterday (holiday), but I just got a call and have to go to the office now. :-/

And Pluv, I'll just slap some boobs on the 25A red ninja for you - will that work? ;) Get used to my Joes being uncool - because I think that Joes running around in masks all the time is kinda lame, personally. I need SOME realism in my 'verse - it's bad enough I have Ninjas and a military team who fights on US soil (a big legal no-no), so let me have something! :P

Thanks again, guys!

Come on Chief... Realism? Man, and I thought this was play time!

I dig the Jinx! Great job.

Actually all of your ladies are awsome.

Those look great. I really like that Jinx.

I think I'm gonna steal your Cover Girl. If I ever find another Lady Jaye, that is.
