Venom Tooth is a former CIA contractor who, through some arrangement, has received Green Beret training and has the kind of history that the good guys don't like to admit to. Having been drummed out of American Service for a crime too politically awkward to ever prosecute, he took his skills to Cobra.

Venom Tooth specializes in turning local populations with a grudge against outsiders into lightly armed and somewhat effective harassment forces against the enemies of Cobra. Venom Tooth knows 14 languages and regional dialects, and has worked everywhere from the former soviet republics, to Rwanda, to the Afghanistan Pakistan border. He has a very tight network of smugglers, kidnappers and specialists to help him run weapons all over the world, specializing in providing former soviet bloc weapons to serve Cobra interests. He has also been known to make Destro's deliveries to shadier clients.

I saw it as a high collar right away. I look like that when I wear a flak vest. He looks like a patrol trooper to me. I can see dudes like that as enforcers in a occupied area.

I gotta agree he looks more like a 'Joe to me, just based on the coloring.

He could be another Cobra who jumped ship and came to the Joe's...

Or maybe he was a long time plant, sent to infiltrate Cobra back after the original 13 were formed, and has just now broken his cover. Joe team gave him the codename "Turncoat" just to give him a hard time when he came back?

He kept the Cobra helmet just to piss the snakes off when they see him still wearing it...

Anyway, he looks great, whatever you decide on his identity.
