Thanks y’all.

Every figure has been fun to make.

The Joes posed lots of challenges but now that I’m in the swing of things they’re going together fast. I have a few more to make for the commission; Mercer v2, Gallows, Grimskull, Scalpel, Flak Viper, Moray, and Sand Scorpion. I originally signed on for more but I had to be realistic and told the client I couldn’t so he has someone else working on other figures.

I also have some other stuff as WIPs. One more Battle Beast Joe mash up, my version of a couple Battle Beasts including an original character, a couple fantasy figures, and a sci-fi figure

Something I did while waiting for paint to dry. I painted the top brick part purple to match the hood, gave it a mat seal, then a black wash. It looks great when glowing now.

The only figure I finished today. Another for my fantasy verse. Malachi, a woodsman and ranger

This is basically an LBC. I only painted the neck of the figure and the axe. All the rest is as it was

I love that you are multi-genre now, as it is comforting to see you do like me and just bounce to where the muse takes you. Loving all your fantasy work. Great base body for the dwarves of late. I use the ugnaut a lot now also.

and the thing animal also amazing in concept and execution

Thanks. I've been trying to use up fodder that I've had lying around which has lead to more fantasy and sci-fi stuff. It also helps that I'm doing this commission that is straight GIJoe characters so while I literally wait for paint to dry I work on other things and I don't want them to be Joes

I haven't even seen the Ugnaut figure I'll have to check it out

Bindy is talking about the Kuill figure you're using as a base figure. He's an Ugnaught.

Speaking of which, I love that you really took that Kuill base figure and ran with it. I have several that I have plans for but haven't taken the time to actually put them together yet. Your stuff is inspiring and giving me ideas for my own little guys.

Ahhh, stupid me. While I knew Kuill is an Ugnaught (it wasn't thinking of him when I read the comment) I thought he meant others had been put out like back in the day when that 2-pack came out.

Thanks. It's a fun figure to work with. Lots of possibilities for fantasy and sci-fi stuff. Can't wait to see what you make with them

I’m getting ready for a toy show I got a table at this weekend. At the last show I did my Final Faction customs sold like hotcakes so I made some more just in case.

Three versions of my BADog (bad dog: Battle Android Dog) including the most feared the BADog armed with the dreaded Red Rockets

Image

Image

I made another Cobra Commander Battle Beast but I’m out of packs. I’m hoping I can score one before the weekend

Image

And a little gargoyle made while waiting for paint to dry

Here’s a few more

The Bat. He roams the lands going from barstool to barstool. Drinking himself into a stupor all so he can no longer respond to, “So you’re a bat but ya got know wings.”

I realized I hadn’t made a zombie in a while so I fixed that

Image

This next one isn’t really a custom. But a lot went into it. I love the Crimson Guard and I’ve bought a lot over the years. But I used them mainly for customs so I have a bag of CG parts. I decided to make as many CG from the parts as I can.

I actually took the lower legs for this one off another custom (pics below) got the paint off of them (the red was painted black) and put this guy together from a half dozen incomplete CG.

The custom part is the holster. It still needs a knife sheath. I use the one off Low Lights leg for the sheath for all my CG

Image

This is the figure I took the lower legs off of. I then decided to fully swap the legs. I found a pair of black CC legs and popped them on.

I believe I said this guy was a Cobra navy commander.

Image

Lastly a Sci-Fi character (no name yet). I’m still working on his ride.

the paint on the bat head is crazy good! what a great use on that zombie body .

that scifi guy is great. i can see him as a dark version of a power ranger.
