I didn't notice that the figure had fallen over until long after the base was de-constructed. I had to snap the shots in a hurry, as I was taking the base down later that day.
The lucite frames are available at most dollar stores. I got mine at Dollarama in Canada, but I've seen them at dollar tree too. While mine use aerial photography downloaded from Google earth (Airtight is looking at the statue of liberty and death stats from a dirty bomb, Jack Bauer is pointing at Saddam's bombed out palace!)
Want to really blow your mind? You can also get the photographs printed out at kinkos on overhead clear sheets, giving you a transparent map that can be looked at from both sides. You can get a fully customized transparent war planning map or full sized viewscreen for about $2.
I was planning on taking a picture of the outside of the base, and then editing labels for the levels in paint to make a full diagnostic holographic screen effect. Maybe I will again some other time...
