Excerpt from R&D Report
From: Chief Engineer Scrap Iron
To: Destro

"I know I'm not exactly the humble type, but you'll have to trust me that I'm not exaggerating when I say that the Wraith armor is easily my finest work. We've managed to cram every piece of tech we have into this thing, and still keep it light and maneuverable. The armor itself is titanium, covered by an ablative layer. The mesh suit under the armor is a light-weight kevlar blend, making it both bullet and laceration resistant. The gauntlets house our latest particle beam weapon technology, as well as energy-enhanced blades capable of piercing even the strongest body armor. They can also emit energy or EMP bursts through the palms (the suit itself is, naturally, EMP shielded). The helmet contains voice recognition software, allowing the user to control all of the suit's functions at will. The visor has infrared and night vision capabilities, as well as the ability to analyze and lock onto damaged or weak areas of a target. But I think you'll agree that my most impressive achievement is the suit's cloaking ability. Now, this is still in the early stages, and it will be some time before we have the ability to cloak a larger object such as a fighter or one of our larger battle mechs. But for an object as small as the Wraith armor, our light-bending technology can render the user nearly invisible for upwards of fifteen minutes at a time before needing to recharge (of course, usage of energy weapons or the suit's repulsor-jet flight capability will drastically cut into that time). Unfortunately, the suit's one weakness is its cost; one Wraith Armor is almost as expensive as an entire battalion of Iron Mechs. However, even one suit would be a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. Or, if you prefer, a few of my advisers and I were throwing around some ideas...."

"I must never underestimate Scrap Iron's genius. Anyone who is able to turn a multi-million dollar, utterly inviable project into the greatest propaganda tool at my disposal is worth keeping an eye on. His Wraith armor was so cost prohibitive that developing it in the first place seemed like a complete waste of our dwindling resources. But the idea of using the suit to create an international hero? Brilliant! Even as Serpentor's forces bombard our continent, the public's spirit refuses to wane, because the mysterious and powerful Wraith is waiting in the shadows to rescue them from the clutches of evil. All I have to do is send him on missions across the continent...assassinate a Cobra general in Italy, destroy a command post in Spain, free prisoners in Ireland...and the public begins to think of him as an omnipresent and omniscient force of nature. And that is, of course, to say nothing of Wraith's military power. He has become our most valuable agent, surpassing even the much-lauded "Action Man." It amuses me to think of the reaction of the people of Europe if they realized that their new super-hero was, in fact, Charles Halifax, the notorious assassin and terrorist. I suppose it would have been better to find someone a bit more principled than Mr. Halifax to wear the armor, but men with his kind of skill rarely come with high morals as well. And as long as the money keeps flowing, so does his loyalty."

Thank you for reading. Now the custom...

RotS Wraith:
Head: Darth Revan (modified)
Torso: 25th Torpedo (heavily modified)
Waist: 25th Torpedo (heavily modified)
Upper Arms: Clone Trooper
Forearms: Forged Figure Cylon Centurion w/ blades from 25th Serpentor
Hands: Clone Trooper
Upper Legs: 25th Ace
Lower Legs: 25th Tomax
Electro-effects: Vader's Secret Apprentice

I know we're going to get an official 25th Wraith soon, so I wanted to stray a bit from his comic look. While I thought the gimmicky way the character was done in the DD comics, I always thought he had potential (if handled well). I figured the main complaint with him was that he was too super-hero like, so why not make him an actual super-hero (of sorts) in my universe.
